    I built my own a while back... With a Eezy Awn on top It def made a difference especially when driving with a headwind. After switching to a Columbus Variant I built a wider and higher fairing... I dont know if it made that much of a difference on MPG on the second run, but it sure helped with...

    I'll answer that with a question. Do you ever stay within the speed limit while in the freeway ? I personally dont see the issue with this if all you are doing is simplex mode on a few trips, but Im sure the HAM police will voice the do's and dont's..... I got my ham radio before I got my tech...

    I would go ham. handheld radios are dirt cheap on amazon and the sound quality can't be compared to cb, or frs. You would need a tech license for this set up

    I gots a Yaesu 2900 2m radio. in my FZJ60 installed inside the tuffy console to keep out of sight. No it does not overheat... (not yet anyways)... Mic is on the front dash, using RJ12 wire, and a 4 pin jack. Aux speaker is under the dash on pass side right where the OEM radio dash speaker used...

    I lost the skewer for the 9mm on my last trip and used the bike skewer to attach the bike.. no rattles of any kind during the 1800 miles.... I run 15mm and 20mm on the other two bikes... my setup holds two bikes..... I built my own set up, and thinking of building two more on the other swing out...

    back when I used to have a Eezy Awn. I set it up under pouring rain and put it away under the same conditions.. camped like this for a few days out of one month. I never got any water inside and never worried about it getting smelly, but did get it to dry whenever possible.....

    NL 95L. It's huge, but when gone for 3 to 5 weeks it's awesome to not have to worry about ice and cold beer along with frozen food..
