Yes, the Columbus retains a lot of heat specially with two people up there. Be careful to not retain too much heat as this will create condensation. Ventilation is your friend........ even better one of this..... ooopppsss

you could use a long socket to drive that star nut into the Yakima bar. I want to say 11/16", but not 100% sure... try the right size I guess ?

I got mine on Amazon. Great lights, but dont seem to handle the UV rays as well... rattle can paint the housing to slow down the deterioration some...
