Has anyone seen one of these yet?

I lived in a Dolphin for a year. It is on a Toyota truck body and is much more appealing than this for about $15K.

Opinions on a headrest mounted IFAK

One of the members in the off road group I was in is an emergency SAR person and after a discussion we had I outfitted my FAC with a few more things. I assembled my kit with individual items rather than buying a ready made kit. I did go easier on the bandaids than many kits have as it is a more...

    Man Kat 8x8

I have seen one of those at a gathering in SoCal and it is a gigantic thing. Lots of attention but with a comparable amount of problems for maintenance and an MPG rating that might be described as horrendous. Hope you have lots of money to keep that thing on the road and fueled up.

Paper or plastic, or something else?

I use paper plates over my blue metal plates that I warm first so they don't suck out the warmth of my meal. Easy to do by placing them over the cooking pan for a few seconds. The paper ones seem to have a plasticized coating that wipes easily, depends on the greasiness of the meal. I also use...

    Land Rover ideas for Jeeps

I used Nato cans, don't know if Scepter cans will fit as well. Of course modifications can be made. I made cardboard mock ups of the cans for an exact fit and also used thin plywood for the carrier body to get it right benre beefg the cutting the stepl.

    Land Rover ideas for Jeeps

RainGoat, I removed the spare, it is now located on a swing away carrier by T4x4. I fabricated a drop down carrier that holds two Nato cans in its place. Basically the same weight but low for a better COG. I have made several for my LR friends and they really like the idea as well as the...

    Land Rover ideas for Jeeps

Different places seem to have different rules for everything. When I drove x-military vehicles they were OD and I was never hassled by any LEO. I have carried them on my trailer in red but all others were inside the trailer and were OD color. When my MOG was painted desert sand, the cans were...

    Land Rover ideas for Jeeps

Lowers the COG but they're going where there are few other vehicles, unlike the clogged roads in the US so chances of high speed collisions are limited. The words 'high speed' collisions really do not apply to series vehicles. Most Americal vehicles locate the petrol tank under the vehicle at...

Just Downsized to a Renegade (build and trips)

I am inspired by your posts of your build(s). I also use cardboard mock-ups of items to assure the fit and placement. You have managed to place a great amount of carefully orchestrated items into your vehicle, great work.

Actually the pics in the product literature do not show a lid. There is a tight fitting lid. Has a small vent hole in the top to ease the pressure. The box with lid on fits into the black case, zips up with the cord plugged into a 'cigarette' lighter socket. I place it on the floor on a towel...

Tarp Material and how to attach it to itself.

I checked the Seattle Fabrics site and found nothing in waxed canvas fabric, which really surprised me. I also checked the Tyvek site and found this. Might be a buy that several people could go in on to make some things...

LR3/LR4 Rhino OX hitch weld failures

I have a T-4x4 rear bumper with swing out tire carrier. When I received the bumper shipped from them there was a problem and although located in CA they drove to me in Denver to replace the bumper at their expense, in my garage. I have complete faith in them and if there is an issue with...
