Help me Decide on a Furnace, for the Adrenalin - Propex, Espar, Webasto, Other?

I was in the same boat, looking at heater options when we had our Kamparoo trailer (same design as yours). Had we kept it and not gone to a Four Wheel Camper setup, I was looking at the Propex heater. The biggest factor for that and not the other models (which I looked at too) was since my...

    '97 Dodge Ram 2500, 4x4 Cummins Powered

Hi. As for the TireGate and towing, I was a little worried at first thought of doing it but it worked with no issues regarding the hitch/trailering part of things. As for getting inside, since my door and the swing out go the same way, I was able to swing both enough to easily get into the...

    Flippac Hinge Headache....

This really doesn't bode well for Flipacs in my opinion. Regardless of the customer service side, Dave's FP is not that old (I remember when he got it) and already a broken hinge. I also know his handle broke as well. I have read of other with broken hinges and torsion bars on units not...

    1991 Diesel (conversion) Suburban

redthies - There is no such thing as an "easy" swap, even within the same manufacturer. Start changing that (i.e. Cummins into Ford) and it can be a very furstrating, money and time consuming conversion. IIRC, this frame body/frame style only offered the 6.2 non turbo and it wasn't until the...

2012 JKU Sport Build - "AlternateLive" - The shotgun approach...

Cool deal. If you want to knock about another 20 lbs. off the rig, switch to syntectic winch line. It is amazing how heavy the cable is. When I switched, the hook weighed more than the syn. line.

'76 K5 Blazer w/23k original miles in ABQ, NM

I seriously doubt it's 23K miles. These had 5 digit odometers so it is likely been rolled. Unless there is documentation to prove mileage, never believe these claims, especially when it is sitting on a dealer lot. They have no clue. Regardless, still a very nice looking Blazer.

'87 Suburban won't start after cap and rotor change

All you need is air, fuel and spark... in the right combination of course. If you are getting spark and air, are you sure you are getting fuel? I assume you got the rotor on the right way. I think they are keyed to only go on one way but with the quality of some parts now a days, who know...

    Tiger Build up

Nice choice. I agree, I debated the 33"/35" tire size and in the end went with the 285/75-16 option. 35's just add a lot of extra expense to the life and wear on parts. It just wasn't justifiable given where we likely would go. So far it hasn't been a problem for us. Overall width of the...

    Doc's AT FlipPac Build Thread

Nicely done! Had we kept the Kamparoo, this is the unit we were going to go with. Curious, how do you hook the bottle up with the back closed up? Do you have your flex line coming out from under the bed? Keep up the great work Dave!!!

    Mac Virus in the Wild

I am not going to post where I work but my department is almost 250 users, about 30% Mac users. No one in our department was hit. As for where I work, we have over 17,000 people so 400 is a small percentage. Yes, virus, malware, spyware, Trojans, etc. are all different in their respective...

    Mac Virus in the Wild

So I guess you didn't read my last post closely. You would have answered your first question. Our network security team blocked 80 Macs the day I posted this info. More have been found since. I guess they are not posting to the Mac fora you haunt... Since Macs are perfect, I'll keep my pie...

    Mac Virus in the Wild

Virus/Trojan, kind of semantics when you get down to it. I guess if you believe stories of it only affecting 1%, I'll let the 400 Mac users that got infected at work, know they are part of that 1%. Heck, the Macbook Air I am on right now shows it is vulnerable until I disabled the Java per the...

Forward Control Jeep (FC)-Scott Brady's Test Drive- A Great Read!!

Bingo, we have a winner! Show me any US legal and available new "cab over" light passenger vehicle available today? There are none. Comments about a Smart car, still put the wheels in front of the driver. This is the impact zone area. Mini's, IQ's, etc. all put the driver feet behind the...

    VW Amarok Overland

Okay, now that I have seen pics of this truck (nice BTW), I now know what it was I saw in the local B&N parking lot. I saw a truck but with a VW badge and was really confused. It had a rear mounted spare tire swing out (think it was a HitchGate, like I have). I was like cool but what was it...
