Not worried about the new administration and the emission trajectories. Ineos is the largest manufacturer of green hydrogen and with their latest agreements with Hyundai for FCEV development I'm actually expecting Ineos will leap-frog JLR and be early to market with a FCEV "Defender".
Good overview. The highlight take-away was the conversation with ARB and the lack of planned aftermarket support. Previously discussed. That will significantly limit Defender sales potential as true 4WDs are hobbies.
So open and honest discussion of issues is off the table and only glowing praises are allowed ............
Why even host a forum with those expectations.
And people wonder why there was a "Hello" thread ..........
A winch may be a dealer installed option but Im sure Land Rover factory had already designed in the ability to accept the partners product and should also have step by step instructions for the install. Same as the tow package.
More troubling is that factory reps couldn't resolve the first issue, recommending a new engine. Also, how does a wiring harness become non-replaceable, causing an entire new vehicle to be bricked.
Houston, we have a problem.....

McGoverns new role described as 'advisory', that he is reaching mandatory retirement age at Tata and is following the path of Seth in his departure.
Collapsing Jaguar and Land Rover into a single entity appears promising. Especially when considering overall JLR investment spending has been slashed from a peak of £4.1bn in 2018 to a planned £2.5bn in 2021. Both product lines are headed to EV although any long range heavy duty models will need...
There's a Hummer EV thread on LandRover Forum:

The problem for ALL manufacturers is multi-fold. Government regulation is moving towards EV only by 2032, no ICE or hybrid, while battery technology advancements have leveled off at roughly 300 miles per charge under ideal environmental conditions for relatively small light vehicles. If the...

In reality 4-lo releaves the stress on an engine as the rpms are varied over a typical range. Even better for engine break-in! It's the low rpm lugging that should be avoided during break-in.
