Friendly tip on bumper design. MAKE SURE you can still get a hand onto the fuel pump after bumper and subframe installed!
Or.... You'll end up having a massive ordeal removing the entire thing to connect the plug to the tank aux output to run a heater, etc...
Ask me how i found this out! :P...
I agree this is a silly and dangerous thing Dodge did.
Apparently its quite a chore to remove the feature, as just disconnecting it throws codes. I havent dug into it yet
Those Johnny Joints all seem to have smaller diameter adapter like in your pic. I have never seen one much bigger. I am not sure the reasoning, but guessing they have one.
Thanks, yeah, thats the reason i generally dont camp around people.
I camp for peace and quiet, and to enjoy nature, not to hear your poor taste in music or your little dog yapping!

A little mod today, made a HUGE difference.
Finally got the Espar INTAKE silencer and installed it this morning.
The difference was night and day quieter. I can honestly probably run this in a National Park now and not even bother anyone. Its that quiet.
Its expensive, but in my opinion...
Excellent work sir!
Note: In your photo I attached below, I noticed the same thing on mine and found it odd..
There is nothing hold the bolt/arm in place along that elongated hole other than the pressure torqued on the nut.
I see this as a potential issue if that nut ever works even a little...
This is going to me mounted up from where it is in the pic to have the top of it close to level with the bed to double as counter space.
Underneath it, and on the left side of it (where all the venting is for the compressor) is going to be left open/clear (under the counter top) for the cooling...
Thanks for the kind words. Glad your enjoying it.
Unfortunately.. I don’t have many answers to your questions.
The Springs the subframe builder chose and Included are the proper LENGTH to compensate for the frame flex, in theory on paper anyway.
But the spring rate isn’t even close to...
Fridge finally arrived.
I went with the ARB Zero Dual Compartment 101
I've ran ARB fridges in all my trucks for close to 20 years, and theyre simply the most reliable and efficient out there.
I absolutely HATE the front door fridges for off road anything, and my FWC Isotherm popped open on...
So i ran the heater a bunch today for some testing based on the comments above.
Pump clicks isnt really noticeable much, but the INTAKE sure is.
I got the standard intake hose in the kit, and its even louder than the exhaust
They make an intake silencer which ill probably be adding to quiet...
Also, if you have the ability, remove the spring hanger bolts and grease them.
When i took my 5500 springs off, the springs and bolts were bone dry and not a spec of grease or lube on them whatsover. You could already see scoring inside the bushing sleeve with less than 1k on the truck
Timbrens or Sumos would just be a band-aid, not a long term solution.
Very likely new springs need to be ordered/installed. Based on where you are, there are some good spring places that will custom build them to your exact weight and desired height. They arent as expensive as one would think...
Yeah, straps are the way to go as long as you have some additional security.
For those that have been around here awhile and remember my Baja 1000 race truck launching off an 800ft cliff (after I gave it to next driver, ha) both tires were still firmly in place at the bottom of the ravine! ???
Soooo.... I had grand plans for a super simple spare tire mount and ordered my TC front wall with steel in it and was going to make a plate, drill and tap to the steel in the wall and done.
Got talked out of that today for several reasons, one of which being the chance of possibly breaking the...
Got some work done on the pig today, got the spare mount done.
But first, since this is the first time i had a front wheel off since mentioning the issue with the front Kelderman, i snapped some pics since so many people asked.
Long story short, the kelderman is not designed for an axle moved...
I posted my most recent weight update above.
Im too lazy to scroll (like yourself, hahaha) but it was in the ballpark of 12,900ish +-/ with close to 50/50 weight distribution
