    OVERLAND Journal Payload podcast

Dude, not to hijack this thread with old school military stories but I may or may not have been in some amphibious ground units and our students learned through the underground that plastic bags under your socks was a way to protect your feet; talk about inducing trench foot and kill their feet...

Translation from the GoogleBots for @Michel Roux Hello and thank you for the forum. I untilise the automatic translator for French. I find it great to install portal axels, I believe that the automobile industry should have been used more and more accessible. I wonder if we can use the...

    OVERLAND Journal Payload podcast

Its a good listen but it's also a regurgitation of what most smart and experienced persons have said many times on this site. 95% of people don't need bumpers or winches or whatever to do anything fun that their stock vehicle would do straight from the dealership; but it's the image and bling...

    Land Rover / Overland Lithographs

I've been playing around with some 3d Printing and made this little gem of one of my favorite pics of Victory over Signal Hill in the Chocolate Mountains. Let me know what you think; I'm looking to offer up some prints for people but of course it's very time consuming as the printer runs for...

    New Defender News

In my world, it says a lot to have a prototype vehicle floating around in the common public when production vehicles start coming off the line. I'm not speaking to automotive because I have no clue how that world works. However, in aviation, generally speaking, prototype air vehicles are...

    Project Victory_Overland 08 LR3 Build Thread!

Thanks; its been a napkin design for a while and I am incorporating ideas to use common off the shelf items and we are considering reproduction once I get the bugs worked out. I couldn't agree more; I was not happy with the TR swing out in the slightest. The TR bumpers are absolutely amazing...

What would you replace your LR3/4 with ?

Yeah it's in there somewhere; I think under ECU memory or cache or something. Essentially resets your ECU to read what the new sensor are telling it and starts its memory from scratch with new readings for averages. Pardon my paraphrase on the process but it will help you out.

What would you replace your LR3/4 with ?

I'm waiting to see what happens with Gladiator and diesel options; also curious if the new Bronco will have the diesel option! Nice to see the Defender Commercial version video but since its not coming here and we still don't have a configuration or diesel option; Defender is currently off my...

What would you replace your LR3/4 with ?

Do you have a GAP Tool? If so, remember that the ECU's have memory so once you clear codes go into the settings; can't remember what page at the moment but there are calibration and initial settings of sorts. Clear all of that out and the vehicle will relearn its current condition; I learned...

    Project Victory_Overland 08 LR3 Build Thread!

Here are the profile views. Single hand latching unlocks both sides at the same time; gas struts will swing both arms out to the 90deg automatic locking position as seen here. Both sides are the same width dimensions as the mirrors for parking lot considerations. Secondary opening position...

    Project Victory_Overland 08 LR3 Build Thread!

The rear swing-out is 95% complete. We have some final welding to do on some of the swing-out locking pin tabs but for now I'll leave them tack welded to ensure I want to keep the final open and closed positions where they currently are. In addition, the latches are not completely covered and...

What would you replace your LR3/4 with ?

What is your "LEAN" issue? And I had a 1st year brand new 2013 Explorer Sport but Ford had to buy it back due to significant electrical/software issues which my brother tells me still exist on his 2016 Sport. On that note, I was told that much of the Ford Explorer design came from the Range...

LR3 Air to coil tips to reconnect lower strut bolt

Little trick I like is loosen all of the control arm bolts (upper and lower) and disconnect the sway brace links from both sides. disconnect the upper ball joint so the hub is free but it needs to be supported so the axle doesn't pull out or you over-extend everything. Once the shock is...

@Ray_G I am assuming you have the air struts laying around; anyway you can get me full compression and full extension measurements for the OG EAS shocks?
