Nice! I'd think this arrangement would work fantastic with your barn door mod. Ideally, it would be nice with a bolt-on lip for those of us who don't have fiber-glassing skills. I've also thought about modifying the soft top door surround to possibly allow rolled up soft top with a hard top...
I've bandied about that idea exactly myself. I've just got to pick up a second-hand hardtop, because m'wife would beat me senseless if I chopped up her hard top! She's claimed the Jeep, since I just bought myself something with four rings and two doors.
Add a vertical zipper just behind the plastic lip that tucks into the door surround. I've been meaning to do this to my soft top sides to allow them to be rolled up rather than removed and stored; I often just remove the windows and leave the top up when I'm running my soft top, especially if I...
That top looks horrible compared to Jeff's. And as he mentions, not modular; which IMHO is what makes Jeff's the cat's ********.
The JKU top is heavy enough; I can't imagine what that marshmallow top weighs as a one piece design and with all that added glass.
Haven't really seen one in that colour before (other than the crappy rendering on the build website); I like it! Looking forward to following your progression. :26_7_2:
Those half-door soft top sliders look fantastic! Is the plan to sell the windows for buyers to install themselves, or will the uppers be included? Still wish someone would bring some premium fabric uppers to market.
