    Front Wheel Studs

I haven't had to replace any yet but I do believe you have to remove the hub to get out full length studs. You'll want to have the hub off so you can press in the new ones anyways.

    Is a 1.9 SWR acceptable?

I know it's a common mistake that many make, is to set their SWR near a building or house. I will throw off the reading. I find a big, empty parking lot and set it there. Get some weird looks from time to time. I like to strive for 1.5:1 or lower but as others said, 2.0:1 is acceptable.

    Intro: ccarley

Nice FSJ. I am so itching for one of these but no room. 6 vehicles is all I kind of have room for.

    Next up...steering!

According to their site, $109.99, just over 1/4 the price of the full kit. I was looking up stock XJ ones and the big one on Rock Auto was $75 for a stock item. $110 doesn't seem all that bad to me. I did notice that all the other Currie joints have grease fittings but not the large piece...

    Next up...steering!

Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!! No! I was told I was second in line and the first guy backed out. When I asked about taking it, I was PM'ed and said "someone" else had PM'ed before my post but the seller didn't see it until later. What really sucked is the guy was local so no shipping would have been...

Looking at their site, all of the parts are replaceable. It's just the one main link is not cheap.

    Next up...steering!

I agree, having looked at many options out there, the easiest yet beefy setup, which no one has really complained about (other then $$$) has been the Currie setup. Unless I am going full tilt on my build, the other options just require too many other mods to work right. The JCR setup is...

San Diego East County Run....In Honor of Agent Rosas

Put us down as a maybe. Most likely a day trip for us, as we are leaving for Hawaii (Big Island) the following weekend and not sure we want to plan an overnighter.

FS - Citizen ECO Drive Skyhawk Atomic Watch

Personally it sucks that David did not get his watch but honestly, stuff happens and Tim was stand up enough to (or is) send the money back. Outside of some time and frustration, David is not out anything. Tim is out a watch without knowing what happened to it. Personally I have been lucky...

    Cheap Fridge <$400 shipped

We have been running ours non stop for 6 months. Had it in the XJ offroading 3 times, one trip to a meet and greet and the rest of the time in our living room and have been using it for bottles of water. So far not a single complaint. I do notice the temp swings a little more between a high...

    hmm...lift thoughts

Your call on the springs. I like my OME's. As for gearing, the 245/75-16 (which is what I run) with 4.10 gearing will keep everything as it is with stock tires and 3.55's. RPM's, accelleration, MPG all stayed the same for me. The 4.0L doesn't like to be lugged and finding the sweet spot...

    hmm...lift thoughts

cutting corners? hmmm...thoughful, inexpensive, reliable mods are what I listed, in my opinion. 1. putting together a leaf pack from an s10 and an xj is a very well-thought out and very popular, proven way to achieve the rate/lift desired for very little money. New u-bolts, spring clamps, and...

    hmm...lift thoughts

x10 Overall your plan looks good. Personally I would replace the flex brake lines with the YJ (IIRC)ones (that's what I did) since the lines do go bad. If you swap new ones in that are longer, then you kind of kill two birds with one stone. BTW, it took me a year of collecting parts, buying...

No, you have to use a SWR meter to set the SWR.

    Bedframe Fab presents TJ Storage

Yep, I have a VERY good friend that works at Bilstein and they have taken apart shocks with 100,000 miles on them and no signs of wear and still dyno'ed in spec. Basically Bilstein shock will only need to be replaced if damage or the rare seal leak. Actually you can contact them and they may...

    Bedframe Fab presents TJ Storage

He's running Bilstein shocks and the likelihood they would need to be replace is about zero. Unless you damage one and cause it to leak, they are good for 100,000 miles. Most likely his feeling is due to having coil springs in the back. They can tend to make the rear feel a little more wiggly...

Garage Junk = Interior cargo rack

Instead of expanded metal, which can have quite sharp edges, look into perferated metal. It has holes and tends to have less sharp edges to cut fingers or catch stuff. Most metal shops will have it.
