@Wilbah i thought the same thing as well, until a buddy convinced me to test the theory in real life.
He was spot on correct. Took half the time to fill a 35" tire with the Dual ARB and NO, then it did WITH a tank.
His explanation of why:
The ARB is a 100% duty cycle compressor which means...
Hahahahahahahahaha
Well..... What is "Properly"?
Redid it with better materials, reset codes, quick test run, truck immediately recognized it, and all was glorious, happy and fixed. Everything working as planned. And then...
Arrive at buddies shop 10 mins later, BOOM, what the hell was...
Hahahaha. Yeah just installed them since I had them laying around.
THINKING aka GUESSING if theyre installed on one side or the other, it wont throw the computer off when if they swapped sides just bouncing around in the tube. I dunno, could be making a mountain out of a mole hill and the PVC...
EXCELLENT POINT!! Didn’t even think of that!
I’ve been driving it somewhat with none of the sensors working and so far no noticeable issues, but that’s a great point
Yes I’ll have onboard air via a ARB Dual compressor.
Won’t be running a tank.
Contrary to popular belief, the Dual ARB fills faster and much more efficiently withOUT a tank. I’ve done several tests personally.
Older cheaper compressors that don’t put out the same CFM benefit from tanks, but...
The build out has been going pretty dang well!
But.... Not everything is Rainbow and Unicorns.
Little speed bump worth noting, for others considering similar build. Nothing major, just nitpicking and trying to satisfy my OCD,
-TPIS Sensors. The new 4500/5500 use a TPIS instead of a TPMS...
I called 3x, twice talked to someone that took my info for a call back. Never got a call back. I’m over it/them
Ordered a TC box from @Victorian whos been awesome with replies
Hahahaha
That’s the same image, just mirrored and poorly photoshopped :)
I don’t really plan on an awning, and if I do get one, it won’t be anytime soon. Low priority.
I had a Fiamma on my FWC and I used it twice (both times for rain) in 1.5 years and 100+ nights camping.
The fiamma was...
Decided on Total Composites for the panels/box and sent my deposit in to @Victorian
He's been super helpful through this process.
I'll post a poorly inaccurate mock up of my idea soon! :)
Excited to get my order in and start with my box!
Thanks @Victorian
Anymore photos of that F350 and how the steps are mounted. Very similar to what i am thinking
Ah, yes, i wasnt sure what type of camper you were going with. An aluminum frame FWC or similar wouldn't need a spring mounted frame.
But a composite panel build like TC would.
