depends on a lot of factors including the driver's experience... a short wheelbase like a TJ probably 32's and 3" lift. larger vehicles like mine still scrape stuff in places on 35's and 6". we had another WJ with no lockers and he made it, but he worked really hard so i'd recommend at least 1...
thanks - we did! more pics soon...
carnage was limited to a couple new scrapes, a busted tail light, and a majorly bent rock rail. the tools & spare parts bags never had to come out - yay!
close for sure - i think it'll be ok though. there was 1/2"+ of clearance and the other side's shock is fully extended in that pic. if it sat where all the weight was on a rear corner and further compressed a bumpstop, i think the tire would end up about where it is in that pic still now that we...
the bumpstop/extensions still moved after testing them out this weekend. well one side did, but i think we figured out where the weak point was and have it corrected now. writeup on the fix here: http://offroadpassport.com/forum/showpost.php?p=35538&postcount=881
changed how the rear shocks mount and the rear bump stops: http://offroadpassport.com/forum/showpost.php?p=35479&postcount=876
testing out the new setup:

the projector system powered by the tablet got some use this weekend at camp!

i have the kenwood TM-V71A and i've only ever used 2m with it. however, i often use one side for our simplex trail frequency while keeping the other side tuned to a local repeater or to the national calling frequency (146.520). i plan to use that side for APRS eventually.
