Not sure where you are going with some of that, but the more a truck weighs the less it's going to be traction limited / skid and the heavier duty the truck the less that extra weight is going to effect chassis balance and brake bias. To your point, the larger brakes are needed to be traction...
"If you put the same load this Tacoma is carrying on the Tremor, it would still lose"
"If the Tacoma was loaded to the same weight as the Tremor and given the same tires, I suspect it would do about the same"
You don't see the irony in those two statements?
Not trying to call up what was or...
If it's traction based, why wouldn't a heavier rig with larger tires stop a load quicker? There is an intersecting point where coefficient of friction, braking force and vehicle momentum cross paths I suppose, but it's not obvious to me where that is then. But I do know, any sort of large hill...
Truck doesn't need to be mangled but sure, chances are low, just like flying in an airplane and we obviously use sound judgement and many defined safety precautions flying airplanes.
None of us are lawyers, I know enough to be dangerous (literally), but that doesn't make me an expert. All of...
I'd say let a jury decide if all that is true - better Call Saul? :)
I disagree, a full size 1T pickup with the same load will stop quicker than this guys Tacoma, especially true on any sort of grade.

You think it never happens? It's just logic and a matter cause - effect, getting into an accident with no fault of your own is different that getting into an accident because you couldn't brake quick enough since your truck was overloaded. Did a quick google search and this is the first one...
Outside of the std. cab, one of the coolest builds on this site....I love the *thought* of an old school std. cab truck but I think I'd find the limitations pretty quick.
I like the looks of the HD ZR2 Bison the best but if I had to choose, I'd pick a std. F350 and make some simple tire/wheel and offroad upgrades and you'll be $ in the bank. I think the offroad packages are cool but not at the expense based on what you are planning on doing. All these trucks...
I've not driven a late model Chevy 3/4 or 1T but they are typically known for being very good driving / handling, I mean that is the big selling point with the IFS isn't it? Not saying you are wrong, but it's interesting to hear and challenges my pre-conceived notions.
My Tradesman 2500 I...
Details matter - wrecking a truck that is overweight is very different than wrecking a truck because it is overweight.
I'll also add there is a massive difference in liability vs collision, the liability thing is where my major concern would be in an accident if somebody were to ever get hurt.
So you are a pre-order customer and will get to test before you are locked into buying?
Somebody else stated they would be likely be serviced at a BMW dealership - does that mean BMW dealerships will be selling them too? I just ask because according to IG they have "Sales and Service at...
