    Snakes

Where do snakes get beer, something should be done:victory: Nothing to add to this thread, but I had a really neat snake experience last saturday. We were driving thru a wooded area and saw a Black Snake, my buddy called it a black "racer". We moved it along with a stick but it quickly coiled...

    Coleman stainless cooler

I have the "steel belted 54". It looks exactly the same only its green rather than stainless. It takes a beating well, but I only get one day or less with ice.

    Snakes

And you'd be right, it was just an amusing quote i heard when I asked the best way to pick up a snake in an previous Expo thread. We are in no danger of running out of soapboxes here.:) I'd still like to know the correct way to pick a snake up.

    Snakes

I asked this same question on Expo a while back, my favorite response... Best way to move a snake? With a shovel, half a snake at a time:elkgrin:

    Sleeping bag questions

I thrash around a lot and have trouble staying in a mummy, so when its cold (below 20F) I use two bags. I sleep in a zero degree mummy, the enclosed foot compartment is key to keeping your feet warm. I also unzip a cheap rectangular bag a cover up with it. If I come out of the mummy rolling...

    Packing Heat...who does it?

There seems to be a common thought among the antis in this thread that a gun would escalate a situation. I find that I'm far less likey to engage in a potential conflict when I'm carrying. I would be more likey to tell a drunk to shut his pie hole if I was unarmed. Armed, I'd walk away. I've...

Any practical use or need for heavy chain?

I use a chain for skidding logs when I cut fire wood. Also when I'm clearing brush, I use it to pull saplings up to ~2.5" diameter. I never use one offroad. 60 feet is going to fill a three gallon bucket and weigh 40 plus lbs. edit: for $10 I'd grab it

Bumpers: why do the recovery tabs usually stick out the front?

Weird coincidence... my friend was just pulled over for having her hitch ball on with no trailor. $180 dollar fine in PA:Wow1: I guess it's for all the pedestrians that get run over by vehicles in reverse;). Or maybe some legislator banged his shin on one:) Mine stays on the truck for years at...

Nice jeep, I love my spool. For a rig that is primarily offroad, they are great.

New to the site.. Have a few Questions!

Make sure you have a jack that will lift that beast high enough to change a tire off road. I'm guessing the factory jack will not.

    SAS/SAC debate thread

It seems these threads always have 2 distinct camps 1. I love my SAS 2. I would never do it, here's why, IFS is fine for what I do I have trouble finding value in the arguments from camp 2. I can instictively say "I don't like turnups", but the truth is, I've never eaten a turnup so I...

I need ideas on how to mount shovel/axe to body panels

The u shaped piece of channel in the first pic acts as a washer that the wing nuts tightens against, the wing nuts stay tight for me. Be sure to post up what you do:)
