Not sure, but instead of lift blocks on the axle, could you weld 2" or 3", ~3' long box tube to the frame and then weld the spring hangers to that? You'd get the same net heigth gain without lift blocks. A 2" frame spacer would allow a for 4" taller tire?

That's cool, the tent I tried didn't have a built in mattress. How is the humidity in OZ vs. east coast? That is the biggest down side I see. I don't mean to rain on your parade:) They do look expoish:)

Sectioning the fiberglass top would be a PIA, the picture isn't great but it looks like he did a good job. Unless he leaned the windshield forward, he probbly had to shorten the length of the top too. I have to go wash my hands after typing this:elkgrin:

I am a fan of this style latch, it closes very tight. If the hinge fails, it's unlikely that this 1/2" grade 8 bolt will fail at the same time

I'll second this one. They are really lite. I dip mine in water or the ice chest, wring it out and wear it when it's really hot. I cut off the goofy stings too
