The Wrangler of course could but not should ;)
2,600 plus tent is 2,800 plus 200 because all mfgers are light on projected specs. So 3k dry and right up to 4,200 loaded. I would take this over the Mission Summit that's fur sure.
Okay now I know what a portal is. So impressed Exp Voy speced out a Bush rooftop tent instead of the typical Chinese made kind. So one can kind of stand up. Of course if anyone is sleeping in the RTT then there is no standing up to be had. 99% of the time mfgers say "you maybe able to fit in 7'...
I think they went to high in ground clearance (23"), interior height (78") and roof rack /AC. Plus to short on tounge. Put spare on tounge box to make up for longer tounge.
It is tough that's for sure. Keep in mind some of that length is that spare tire. My rig is at 8.75 feet tall and I can really feel when towing. I know it's hard to keep the hight down on a high ground clearance trailer. Wonder if that rack and AC could be deleted? Question is how long is the...
Good points especially on Airstream. Just to be clear I mentioned the 220,000 AU cost which is 144,600 US was the starting price. Then add 10 k in options Mars added brings the cost to 154,000 US. Keep in mind the starting price of 220,000 AU already has dealer profit in it. So I actually low...
One last comment
On Kimberly AU website the T3 starts at 220,000 AU which is 144,600 US .
Kimberly s are nice but 35 k for shipping and dealer added mark up on is to much
Kingdom camping xl could build you a sweet rig for 120k that would be better insulated
Boy that is crazy especially in today's market and with the exchange rate to boot. Man I feel your pain. You deserve a huge military discount. Thanks for you service!
If you are researching and considering a Kimberley I can't imagine anyone would mind this discussion but I do not own a Kimberley so maybe folks get annoyed by my lame opinions 😉.
Yes I can only imagine 3-4 more inches of ground clearance would really help. I apologize as I didn't get very far...
Just took a quick look at this Airstream off road link and that rig has minimal ground clearance and all those roads they were on looked really flat. Might want to join a few Airstream FB groups and search " issues " or "leaks" . I could not even back down my driveway with that lack of ground...
Trying to fantasize on what I would buy if I was in this price range. If Jamin at Kingdom Camping would work with you I bet you could spec a cool xl dual axel and maybe lighten it up for 110kish. Other then that Kimberley would likely be my choice. Tough decision
Man those are two very different rigs. I do love the interior width the airstream offers. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the trail Wind over a foot wider then kimberly? You say you won't be rock crawling but will you be going up and down steep dirt roads in mountainous areas? If so man go...
Just dawned on me Ainty Shanty might work for you. The square tops like the Expidition voyager are cool but man standing up in ur trailer is nice. Not to mention dealing with all those tents and tent rooms has to be a pain.
Arkto g12 checks all boxes except u would need a 8 ft garage.
AOR s at xgrid might have a pop up that would work.
Expedition Voyager is a square top that u can't stand up in.
Can you raise your garage header?
So MDC USA that has several company owned direct to customers brick and mortar stores across the US has started bringing on retail dealers in the US. I am curious why they would want to hire local rv dealers so close to thier corporate retail stores. Maybe they plan to close the corporate...
Wise move. I obsolutly love my GX 460. I added the Ko2s and plan on installing rock sliders and a big country 4x4 South African roof rack and that's it. Can't beat the GX for off road capability (OEM). My Trailer Marker is just under 4k pounds totally loaded to the max. The GX is rated to 6,500...
