Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Awesome video and thank you for sharing! I have been debating if I want the drawers or not. Part of me doesn’t want to give up the real estate (5’ bed) but also not climbing up to get essentials would be nice. Wife is barely 5’1” and the Jeep is on 37”s Thank you again. Please share future...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

We wanted the comfort of van but aren’t willing to give up the capability of the Jeep. Maybe when we are much older and done with the technical trails we will switch. Now, if AEV or anyone would make the Outpost II for the gladiator, we would upgrade in a heartbeat

Ursa Minor Camper Shell for JT Gladiator

I like the persistence. I am not saying that UM won’t make a AT Habitat or similar topper, I am saying for those that are holding out for a JT-30 or similar full roof conversion shouldn’t hold their breath. It is not happening or is even in the works. I suggest you reach back out to John...

Switching from Ford E-Series to FC/cabover (like Sportsmobile to Earthcruiser 4x4)?

Thank you for this! as much as we love those larger purpose built rigs, we have our hearts set on converting our gladiator into a pass through permanent rv conversion. Think of an earthroamer shrunk down to a gladiator size. we’ve reached out to the big names, but no one has time or resources...

Ursa Minor Camper Shell for JT Gladiator

I agree ratled that is an obstacle, but EarthRoamer and Earthcruiser have been doing it for years. So it’s not a DOA concept. Not everyone has the money or the need for those giant yet beautiful rigs. a smaller more capable permanent solution would cater to a larger audience and still be...

Ursa Minor Camper Shell for JT Gladiator

If only we could convince AEV or anyone else to build a high quality Outpost II or similar for the JT. Combined with the 392 concept, we would have an instant winner! The poor mans Earth Roamer.

Ursa Minor Camper Shell for JT Gladiator

During SEMA 2019 JT was new, since then Ford started taking orders on the Bronco. It’s easier to adapt the Jk/JL design to meet the Bronco specs, than it is to build a new design from scratch. Smart biz move, but sucks for JT owners. This is why we have an Alu-Cab Canopy Camper. GFC was high...

Ursa Minor Camper Shell for JT Gladiator

Unfortunately they have no desire to build anything for the JT. They are focusing on the JL and the new Bronco. This is why I gave up on the keep waiting til “spring” updates.

Fwiw anyone that is getting a camper option, you’ll also want to relocate the xm antenna. Luckily, I am heavy Spotify user and don’t really care for xm radio, but if you don’t have downloaded music and like xm while far away standard radio stations, the camper can block the signal.

I really wanted the diesel too! Then the 392 JL concept (dream) and the 4XE and a late unexpected business opportunity for me put a giant hold on everything. the old 3.6 will continue to be the workhorse until Jeep can figure itself out and my returns start to materialize.

I should have selected the trail rail system, not sure how I skipped it. Besides that I think the only other option I didn’t select was the metal front bumper. I have not relocated the camera yet, the rear alerts have helped in that regard, but I hope to get that fixed soon. tough to see with...

Adventures of Hodor, A Gladiator Build Thread

Not sure what the offset is, but with the 37” BFG KO2s fully stuffed and locked to either side I have never had a single rub, and I have really put it to test on multiple occasions, both connected and disconnected. I have not, the Mopar lift was supposed to be a temporary solution, but it’s...

no holes, just make sure you have the Mopar bed rail system, I bought an aftermarket version and didn’t work, so I had to buy the Mopar one and sell the other.
