I am going to assume what I am looking at here is pictures of a Tacoma, but obviously I could be wrong on that. If so, this is frankly a problem with all our trucks. The bed is actually three main pcs. A composite tub which mates to the bedsides. It is not one solid pc. Therefore, unless...
Excellent idea to provide access to these areas. Did you happen to ask your dealer or AC before hand if these are strictly cosmetic filler panels? In other words, they don't have any structural function for being there. I can't imagine they are seriously important, but was just curious. I...
Just a couple pics from the maiden voyage, which was really just a short, overnight shake down trip to test things out, but man oh man, this thing sure does make life simpler and more comfortable! I Love It!
Has anyone mounted the Expedition Essentials PQBM (propane tank mount) themselves? If so, I was just curious what size hardware you used to do so. Looks to be a 9/32 diameter hole if I measured correctly. I was just trying to determine the correct taper for the head of the bolt since the...
I just used M8 bolts (sliding the head into the channel) to make my electrical panel mounts. Worked great. Just used what they had available at my local Ace Hdw as well. I would have liked some nylock nuts, but I just loctited them instead.
Okay I have stumped myself w/ my wiring again & need some insight. My installer had hooked up the camper brake light by connecting the purple & pink wires from the camper harness into the taillight. The purple was tied into the taillight wiring and the pink was ground to the chassis. Upon...
I didn't put mine together/install it myself, but you may want to check out the Alu-cab instructions for the different fit kits they have and how they work. They are all published on their website (link below). They won't give you dimensions obviously, but you could certainly better understand...
Would you mind sharing the process you are using to seal the front lip of the camper to the bed? As this is obviously more difficult to access, once the camper is seated. Curious as I am having a leaking issue on the ends (front corners of the bed) and trying to best determine how to seal it off.
Okay all you wiring wizards, I have question I am hoping someone can clear me up on. My panel is being put together in a slightly different version of parts than most b/c of some of the parts I already had before switching camper platforms. I already had a Blue Sea Power Distribution Hub...
I agree completely. This area between the cab/camper is definitely wasted space in the design and I have been pretty focused on mounting something in there. I have considered that spot for the water tank & it has been done on at least one Tacoma install I know. There is fella on YT...
Does anyone here have a Canopy Camper mounted on a 2nd Gen Tacoma by any chance?
I am finally digging into my electrical and came across a strange issue. I reached out to my dealer, but they haven't got back to me yet. When I remove the rear panels on the back, I only have one access hole...
Can someone please remind me what carriage bolt sizes are for using the internal/external tracks built into the camper. I was thinking it was M6 inside & M8 outside. Is that right?
Could someone who has the Shadow Awn mounted to their canopy camper please take a few pictures of where the mounting brackets attach to the camper and how they sit against the frame/structure of the camper? I would really appreciate it. It could be with the lid popped open or closed, doesn't...
It was no issue for me at all. I sent State Farm the name/manufacturer, the MSRP and the serial number and they endorsed it to the policy for the Tacoma with no increase in premiums.
