    front runner ladder- lr4

Will do. I expect I wink hear something back in a day or two and once I do, I'll try and coordinate getting them to look at these. Hell, I will challenge them to remove it and install it on your rig and if they can make if fit to their standard, I'll pay for it! Lol Looking at that picture, I...

Okay, I'm in direct contact now with the FR sales rep who I bought my rack from. I sent him detailed pics of the ladder problem and corrosion problem on the rack corners. It was a long email and I kept it professional with FR support from ExpoPortal. I let him know there is a thread going wild...

    front runner ladder- lr4

I've emailed a representative I used a while back when I ordered my rack. As soon as I confirm it is still an accurate email address for him, I will address these issues with him directly. Ladder fitment and rack corner corrosion. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a response. I will keep you posted.

Wow, what an awesome looking trip and example of what I believe the LR3/4 are built for. Just me, but I would keep the jerries on top, empty but having the option just in case you want lllllllooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrr range with Ray's aux tank. :wings:

Land Rover service/parts across Latin America

Sounds like a great trip. I'm sure you will find a plethora of things we all will recommend for things to look for on any LR3. Are you planning on driving the vehicle for a few thousand miles to ring out any issues prior to the long travel? If you are ditching the EAS, many of your problems...

Getting Back To Land Rover (aka Quixotic TD5 Swap)

If I had my way, I would get a 110 and bolt a brand new Cummins powerplant in it. Especially if I was going the plan you are talking about. Yes it's a $10k engine, but it will run until your grandkids want to take their kids to school after you handed it down four generations!

    2007 LR3 - my 10 yr build thread...

Are the Differential Axle output seals easy to get to with the axles out? Are they worth doing since I'll be doing CV boots anyway and have the axles out?

Rajah. Thanks for asking. I know AJM in Scotland had the same problem. Mine or flaking miserably which is expected from a steel rack but not aluminum unless its junk pot cast which it appears to be. I'll ask them and see if I can get a new set on my way to NorCal soon. Cheers again, E

    LR3 Exhaust Manifold GASKET Replacement

Unfortunately I have not gotten to it yet. I will surely post up my process when I get to it though. I plan to do both sides and pray it's not the timing adjusters. Lol I'm almost to a standstill on the house project and plan to get to it within the week. Cheers E

Emotion Over Logic - The AdvRovr Range Rover Sport Build Thread

I've seen enough on this thread to "learn" from other's misfortune. Sorry you are going through this, but I want to seriously say thank you for saving many of us the time, effort, and hard earned money in this decision process. Most importantly the safety factor.......I just can't get over the...

    LR4 Brake Bleed

I didn't see it below, but check your parking brake rigging and actuator while you are at it. LR3/4 PB actuator is an expensive fix if not properly maintained and adjusted. Just another thing to look at while you are doing brakes and on the stands. I have to dig up notes on the process again...

Cooper STT Pro for my LR3

Same in Hawaii. Lava rock placement is not really an available option when they are covered by a foot of mud! They are like razor blades on sidewalls and jack-hammers to wheels. Part of the terrain in some areas that can't always be avoided.

    LR3 Radio/nav is not working???

Interesting! So you use this to fault isolate each component to find which one is the problem?

If you don't mind, ask them about the corrosion on the corners of the racks too! I'll be paying them a visit in a few weeks with the expectation they will have four shiney new ones waiting for me to pull in the parking lot! :wings:
