The Meanwell power supply did an excellent job keeping the heater going throughout the weekend.
The first time I used the heater, I had it placed on the ground by my front tire, and I extended the intake hose to my tent as well. The intake noise was pretty loud over my head. This time, I didn’t...
Currently testing with the Meanwell power supply and the 3” semi-rigid duct. It’s been maintaining 70F with no problems. The duct is much better than dryer hose.
The mount is spur of the moment. It’s supposed to drop down to the mid 30’s tonight.

I hooked up the power supply tonight, and mounted an AC outlet. I ran kerosene through it at 35c for 20mins; worked perfectly. I added a short pigtail with insulated disconnects, this way, I can quickly connect to AC power or DC power from my side battery.

I am going on another trip this weekend, this time, it's Cloudland Canyon SP. The weather will be identical to my first trip with the heater (windy, 20's and two days of rain), but I am bringing new modifications.
I am replacing the longer 4" dryer hose with shorter 3" semi-rigid duct.

I have an ARB and find myself stuck in FL where it always rains when I go out. I've taken it up and down during big fat rain and haven't had a problem with the inside being wet. I do have to open it up again when I get home because mildew and New Yorkers love FL
I cover this in my testing vids on my Pastafari fb page.
When the glow plug is on - 7 amps
When the heater is full on - 2.7 amps
When heater kicks down at temp - .5 amps

First of all, the whole 2K full blast vs 5k chillin debate was moot in this application. The 5K was running full blast 90% of the time. Attempting to heat the annex room and the tent seemed reasonable, and it did a decent job... until wind. When the weather was calm, it had little problem...
Today is day 1 of field testing. After set up, I primed the pump, and fired it up. I added a 6’ whip with a plug to my 2nd batt for power. I had my engine running during this initial fire up. After a couple of mins, I got an E-08 code which is associated with too low voltage... but it also means...
Everything fits inside the toolbox for transport with the exception of the extended hoses. It’s still a reasonable load out. The Jerry cans are already on the bumper, so there’s zero impact there.

My testing has revealed that the controller temp display is 4 deg C warmer than reality. Today I added deutsch connectors to the controller harness. This way I can plug in an extension cable if I need to. The next step is using it in real life, I leave Wed for a four day outing in GA. Confidence...
Before turning the heater 'on', press the bottom left and right buttons simultaneously. An 'h off’ should appear. Up arrow turns on the pump. You can then watch fuel travel through the line. Press down arrow to shut pump off.

I've got that error, it was because the filter was at an angle. The other time, it was too many air bubbles. Priming the pump fixed it.
