If you're not necessarily opposed to an inflatable you might want to look at Sea Eagle. I have the Razorlite 393 and it's quite fast and tracks beautifully. No motor available for that particular model but they have other models with motor options. I find an inflatable to be much easier to deal...
Unless you are driving for many hours a day, every day, the battery won't really get 100% charged. It would be best to keep a shore charger on it overnight (at least once a week or so) to make sure it gets fully topped up - similar to how you probably leave your phone plugged in all night even...
It doesn't make much sense to go from a DC source, through an AC inverter then back to DC to charge a DC battery. As @john61ct said, eliminate the inverter from the equation.
Battle Born 100ah LiFePO4s are almost exactly the same size as a group 31.
And keep in mind that a 100ah lead acid battery is only about 50 *usable* amp hours. A 100ah LiFePO4 is 100 usable amp hours because you can run them all the down without harming them.
Where and when you will be...
OP didn't mention what type of vehicle we're talking about here but take a look at Prinsu racks. They are about as well-designed as a roof rack can be.
Airbags have always seemed like a band-aid to me. If you're planning to carry heavy loads regularly then heavier springs and shocks are in order. Airbags\lines\compressors add a lot of complexity and potential failure points. Springs are springs and they generally don't fail...
Yeah, I ran into a similar issues with wheels and tires. They wouldn't use the wheels\tires I wanted (to match the truck) so I ended up just giving away 2 brand new wheels and tires.
If they are still using the same Noco AC-DC charger that they used in mine then you will also need to replace...
I'm really glad to hear that they've gotten the customer experience smoothed out. To be fair, my experience was in the thick of the original pandemic mayhem so I have to give them some grace - no one really had their act fully together in the spring and summer of 2020...
When I ordered mine I...
LOL! My Tacoma, fully loaded and pulling a trailer, gets far worse gas mileage than any 3/4 ton truck! It's really the darkest side of using a Tacoma...
Congrats!
I've had my Expedition 2.0 for just shy of a year now. I've pulled it several thousand miles and have spent more than 50 nights in it. We just started living out of it full-time about 3 weeks ago. It's had some small issues (busted rivets and screws here and there) and we've done some...
OP seems weirdly obsessed with money...things cost what they cost. As has been stated above, it is ridiculous to compare a mass-produced automobile to a built-to-order camper. If Toyota makes $5 on every vehicle they sell, they still make millions per year. If a small camper manufacturer makes...
Sorry for the delay, I've been on the road with sporadic internet access...
It isn't much of a story, just an off-hand comment I made about the climbing prowess of our Taco while we were out wheeling. I said it "climbs like a 4000 pound goat". We liked the sound of it and decided to build our...
Do you run your CPAP on AC? Typically they are actually DC devices so going from DC (battery)-->AC (inverter)-->DC (device) is really inefficient. If you can get a direct DC cord for the CPAP then you might get a lot more life out of the battery.
Another vote for State Farm. They've treated us really well for many years. I was told that as long as I can show receipts, anything that is permanently attached to the rig is covered by the auto policy. Anything that is not permanently attached is covered by my renters policy.
