I'm using Ozi-Explorer (with Hema maps) on my Surface pro 3 with a Garmin Glo blue tooth Gps unit. For charging while in the vehicle I use a cig lighter charger available but non-genuine.

It's just too steep on that angle so I'll decrease the angle for you to make it better. Yes less pressure in the tyres and try to crawl it up would be my choice.

Typo for what. The motor is a 4D35 4.6 litre (same as 4D33 but with larger bore non-turbo as standard) the same as a Rosa Bus. The gearbox is a 6 speed out of a Rosa Bus and looks like parts are available to fit the 2 speed transfer case. So standard from Japan I can see that.
There was an...
Can not see why it can't be done. Yes it would probably need an adapter plate to mount transfer case and a new rear shaft made. Someone supply me with a gearbox and I'll get it done and fitted to my Canter. That way we will know it works.
Just another Gear to Change,
Dan.
Yes shafts/adapters would be able to be made to fit up some other transfer case but you will need to do it. Would the earlier gearbox fit up to that motor? It's all buildable if you want to go there.

Fuel economy certainly has improved, as said in earlier post down to 15.2L/100 on some sections and an overall improvement. If by chance you wanted to sit on 90/95Kph I bet you would see a massive improvement but I never tried it.

Finally had time to do the visual inspection on the gears by removing the side plate of the transfer case. AND all good, oil is still clean with no debris on the magnetic plug. Checked the back lash on the gears while I had side of.
Okay pricing :-
Gears...
Well it is true Green is better. We replaced the shackle bushes (with green ones) on Candy's Canter before our last trip and they have come through with flying colours. Haven't had to replace any but on mine I had a mix of types and needed to replace one on the trip.

Not good practice to just run 12v from one battery (24V SYSTEM) unless you are using a battery balancer between them as you will wreck a the battery. You could use a 24v to 12v converter.
Dan.
Great to see that finally something serious is being thrown at a Canter. Love to be there when it is happening. A standard vehicle is what we need not a race special because that is what most of us run. Maybe not quite standard but you know what I mean.
Going to be great,
Dan.
For duals you can possibly get away with 900/16s as long as you don't deflate. 8.25/16 may be alright if not to much air is let out.
I'm running 325/75x16 on the front and they don't interfere with the guards (but i am lifted a bit). 9.00/16 are just a bit smaller than 3.25/75x16.
Dan.
Well you can't go on a trip without getting a little stuck.
Story goes :- I was leading our group to a camp site along the beach and I reach a T intersection - CHOICE :- left or right, lets go left around the corner and straight down to the axle. No forward no backward (and yes I haven't let...
Yes mine is a td06.
I believe that you have a boast compensator (but I could be wrong) and it sounds like you need to tweak it a bit. From what I'm reading you can control spool up as well by varying fuel at the right time. Now being computerized that may be a problem.
Dan.
An Update.
With our trip I had a good chance to make my turbo earn it's living and for the most part it did well. Especially on the highway.
BUT and there is always a BUT.
I've also got a problem that arises when we are poking along in top gear in the 1500/1750 Rpm range and get to a slight...
