I took a run into town today to drop the next case off. It is a run of better than 100k's there and back, so a highway run and then around town.
On the highway it runs at 100Kph very easy now and not having to push the accelerator pedal to the floor, in fact I had to watch that I wasn't...
First one is done. Finished just before dark but still had time to take it for a quick run and yes you do notice that it takes a little more to get rolling off at the start. May have to use 1st gear at times to take off. We have dropped 500 Rpms at 100 K's which is what I was chasing so I got...
I found the Nolathane ones that I used to be very brittle as in they broke into small pieces I believe for constant working. The best run that I've had has been from Urethane bushes that are blue in colour. The new lot that I've just received are green so may be better. Bought from :-...
The first case has had its mods done and will pick up new bearings tomorrow. Candy's Canter will be the first on the blocks and should be done this weekend. Can't wait should be good.

Urethane or Nolathane bushes are available but still don't last very long. I replace after every good trip as they all split from the twisting of the front axle. The original rubber ones just squeeze out. I buy bulk lots to try and get the price down but not by much, they seem to be gold...
There here. As some of you may know I took my Canter for a test drive to try out my Turbo and in the process pick up my new transfer case gears.
New gears on the right of pairs (that puts old gears on left).
Am now organizing getting the mod done on the case. Should be good.

I myself doubt you will see that type of wear on the rear, it is normal wear on front tyres that have block tread. Caused by the way the wheel leans going around corners (from caster and camber) and can really be noticed if you travel a lot of roundabouts on the inner side wheel/outer edge. Also...
I see boast anywhere from 1500 RPM but is very relative to load. If cruising on the flat I will see very little boast but start putting the nose up hill and feeding more accelerator it climbs steadily.
It doesn't have a waste gate so more boast is gained by more fuel which I will be adding...
Well we have it all together but no exhaust brake at this stage as I'm having a few problems scoring one at the right price but we keep looking. Time to take it for the first test run out on the road. I've opened the fuel on the pump one turn as a start.
I need to go to Brisbane to pick up my...
An update to finish of the thread. It has been on the road for a few weeks now and all is going well. I have done every test that I can think of, tested the electricals, brakes. aircon. Did a high speed 4WD run (85/90Kph) on newly graded dirt road, a low range run up the hill.
Only one other...
This is what I'm working on and the gearcutter said that I should have them this week. Need to fit them for our trip to the Cape and if successful will make them available.
