Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

We were camped in very very northern Maine in a very wooded campsite so solar was not great. This is my 400aH battery bank running out inverter from about 8pm until 8am to run the Starlink (and because the camper has USB, not USB-C outlets we had a laptop plugged in and my phone charging)...

Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

I’m actually out camping in mine right now. We’re in the North Maine Woods in the middle of 3.5 million acres of forest…. My wife and I have been talking a lot about our choices and how happy we are with everything so that said I wouldn’t change a single thing. That said my build is quite...

Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

The answer to your actual question is yes the ST is designed differently than a normal slide in camper so yes it has more room. Top photo is my camper and you can see that it fills the entire back of the truck width wise where the OEV and most all other campers sit between the wheel wells so...

Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

My buddy @DTAdventure has a video about installing one in his (now sold) Supertramp. I’m sure he’d be happy to answer any questions!

Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

The sides take some time to “learn” the correct bend. If you’re really having trouble put your fan/ fans on high OUT and close it a little slower it’ll suck the fabric right in! We love our mattress with the 3” topper but I’d be super interested in hearing how the Hest is. If you get one...

    Portable Reverse Osmosis Water System?

https://www.simpurelife.com/products/under-sink-tankless-reverse-osmosis-system I have this one under my sink at home and it 100% kicks ass. I’m on a well, which I have been my whole life and this cleans water as good or better than anything I’ve tried. Definitely recommended.

The Many Charging Options with a Cybertruck

Idk if you meant to quote me…. I was responding to the OP thinking there are Superchargers every 40 miles, which we all know there are not. I had the CCS adapter with my Tesla and used CCS charging along the thruway quite often since it didn’t require getting off an exit, they are right on the...

The Many Charging Options with a Cybertruck

Interesting…. Just actually watched your video and since you clearly like adaptors might I recommend an L5-30…. This is one I had and used on a few occasions. My work actually had this outlet outside and it’s fairly common around Marinas...

The Many Charging Options with a Cybertruck

Ok first off, I am an EV enthusiast! I had a Tesla Model Y with every charging adapter known and I now have a Lightening…. That said there is not a Supercharger every 40 miles on any highway lol. Let alone every highway. Superchargers are concentrated in SoCal and around a few cities but as...

Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

We added a 3” foam topper onto ours the day after we picked it up from ST. With the foam topper it has been amazingly comfortable but without we found it much too firm. Only slight issue the topper creates is when closing you need to pay a little more attention to get the sides tucked in since...

    While on vacation......

Yeah… and I live in the RUST belt. Not really any cars older than 10 up here they pretty much fall apart. I know they aren’t forbidding them they are just (planning) to make it harder and harder. As i said in my first first first comment way back I prefer the carrot to the stick. Show people...

    While on vacation......

Yeah and it’s ok…. But a long way from the Tesla. BUT my iPhone somehow learned that I drive a Lightning and it does 100% perfect job so far and makes things seamless. Once it’s connected to the car on CarPlay all nav goes through it while it gets feed back from the battery. The Tesla was...

    While on vacation......

Summer and ideal conditions on my drive to work which is almost all 55 MPH best I ever average is 2.5 miles per kW which if I filled my truck 100% is 131 useable kW, so 327 miles of range. Most days I can get 2.3 realistically with AC running so that’s 300 miles of range. Winter time I drop to...

For those thinking of an EV as a commuter here are my particular numbers. Vehicle F150 Lightning Extended Range Summer miles/kW range 2.3 My daily commute 52 miles total 52 / 2.3 = 22.6 kW uses daily My home Electricity rate $0.18/kW 22.6 x $0.18 = $4.07 per day. A normal F150 gets...

https://www.cnet.com/home/electric-vehicles/states-banning-new-gas-powered-cars/ You are not correct. Not by a long shot. I live in NY. Trust me there are mandates on the horizon. I simply said I disagree with them but trust me they are signed laws right now. They’re for the future but...

    While on vacation......

Just read this whole thread, obviously people have strong opinions on both sides so let me share my own perspective. First off this is America and anyone should be allowed to buy and drive whatever they like, that means Gas, Diesel, EV, or a clown car. This Should be a free country to make...

Crew cab long bed (8ft) for overlanding??? Is this viable or realistic?

Right!! Here’s the scale weight on my truck/ camper with an absolutely full fuel tank packed with all my camping gear. Only thing missing was the water tank was empty so 24 gallons (~200lbs). GVWR on my truck is 11,499 which leaves me 1500lbs of wiggle room.

I LOVE my Supertramp but for Chris wanting to live in it Full Time he ended up selling his and is having a Rossmonster built. He definitely found it to be loud hahaha.

Crew cab long bed (8ft) for overlanding??? Is this viable or realistic?

I don’t mind it one bit! In fact I might even sort of like it running. But…. I am and have been a shift worker for a very long time so fans as white noise have been part of my sleep cycle for many years. It’s directly above you (in my configuration) so if the noise bothers you, you may not...
