Crew cab long bed (8ft) for overlanding??? Is this viable or realistic?

I’ll have to see if I can make a fresh chart with the old data stores in the BMS. That was a screen shot I had on my phone from going over some details with a buddy who was looking to add A/C to his 4wh camper. I believe the information you’re referring to doesn’t show on the scale of that...

Crew cab long bed (8ft) for overlanding??? Is this viable or realistic?

So…. Air Conditioning powered by batteries in a camper…. I get it. Tbh I didn’t think I would ever get air conditioning and when I originally spec’d and ordered the camper I didn’t select it. After further reflection my thought was that I would hate to buy my absolute dream camper and...

Crew cab long bed (8ft) for overlanding??? Is this viable or realistic?

I’d actually agree. Not necessarily about bed length as everyone is different but about a hard side. My pop up is awesome! But if I was full time a full hard camper would be a must.

Crew cab long bed (8ft) for overlanding??? Is this viable or realistic?

Here’s mine…. Basically a stock XLT Tremor with 37’s slapped on it. Special ordered the truck with vinyl flooring, dual alternators, dual batteries, upfitter switches, XLT premium and Sport packages. No lifts, void of any warranty’s, need for firewall penetrations, had 4.30 gears, rear...

    Changed to a Cassete Toilet

I would agree with the above post. We use a Wrappon and tbh it’s light years ahead of any other toilet solution…. For our uses. We have ours installed in our Supertramp camper and we camp maybe 45 nights a year. The Wrappon is super sanitary and user friendly. Where it falls flat is cost...

Crew cab long bed (8ft) for overlanding??? Is this viable or realistic?

Hey, so the regular FordForums might not be the place for this but the FordTremor forum has a designated truck camper thread for big truck discussions about overlanding. While it’s mostly Tremors it’s become more of a Superduty forum than just tremors. One of the members on there has an 8ft...

Does HP trump range on a loaded EV Pickup?

As someone who’s owned a plug in Hybrid (R4P) and Tesla Model Y, and currently a Ford Lightning they all have their place. FWIW in GOOD weather they all get as good or better than rated range without much trouble. When things turn cold not even close. Heat is the struggle with pure EV’s...

Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

I’ll give a free plug for both of these items! I’ll say the screen is an absolute gem and MUST have for a ST. Having it in there doesn’t interfere with anything and it is a much needed upgrade. The cutting board is also a work of art! I bought it for my wife thinking she would appreciate...

    Project M competitors?

Tune M1, if I was in the market for a Topper style camper that’s what I’d be looking at. https://www.tuneoutdoor.com/

Yeah they said the new ones already had it…. Any chance you have a pic of your rear actuators you could post up? No rush of course.

Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

Hey fellow Supertramp owners, @Chadx and others… I got a call on Friday that they are sending out an update for something to do with the rear wiring for the actuators…. Them coming loose in hot weather or something???? TBH I didn’t have a clue what he was talking about though I wasn’t home to...

Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

Ah gotcha. That’s what we used in my last camper, an air tight cereal box, it’s actually a pretty good solution! We used a few of the 3M stick in storage solutions around the camper in other places, inside the utilities cabinet we have a tray and on the big blank wall above the toilet/...

    Any 7.3 gasser owners?

Very happy with our 7.3L Godzilla F350. We ordered it specifically as an Offroad/ Overland vehicle and didn’t want the added weight or complexity of a modern diesel engine. My GVWR is 11,499lbs and fully loaded with my Supertramp camper and all our stuff we are still below 10k on a CAT Scale...

Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

We ended up putting a trash can from Radius right there in ours. As you’ve seen it’s a pretty significant space but you can’t put something too big in there that would block any of the ducting or controls. Ours also has the Starlink router just to the left. I’m curious, where did you end up...

Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up slide-in pickup camper

Hahahaha. Yeah I got a chuckle out of it… Appears our vehicles loaded out are remarkably close in weight! Only thing when I weighed that is I had no water one board so I’m sure I’m about 200lbs heavier now. I have to say the ST has been every thing I expected. I have probably 35-40 nights...

I weighed mine before and after both with a 100% full gas tank and two people in it. So 1860lbs the plaque on my ST reads 1617, mine is pretty well loaded 4 batteries and air conditioning.

Been quite a while since I posted on Expo…. Damn it… And now I remember why…. All the pics that my phone takes are too big to post…. Oh well, if I ever resize my pics maybe I’ll post them or they’ll make this site better. What a bummer…. Guess you’ve got to click on them to view… Anyway...

Experienced opinions and concerns on pop ups and canopy campers

I feel relatively qualified to talk on the wedge camper front. I was one of the very first GFC orders (back in the TacomaWorld/ Hondo Garage days when that was basically the first mass market wedge camper. VAGABOND was popping off at the same but I think GFC was first to market. The GFC...
