Sounds good, now to find installation instructions.
Update and question. From what I saw. This installation does not require adjustments or setting backlash etc. It's just remove and replace. Can it be this cheap and easy?
Wardlow, I do have a winch but out in the Mojave where I live and play. Very few things to hook the winch too. I'd just rather get more out of the rear end than pounding in a stake to hook the cable too.
Big Al, Please tell me more about this lunchbox set up. My tire size is 32.
Hi All, So after almost getting stuck about three miles from nowhere. It is clear I need to upgrade from the open rear dif.
What are my options and a ballpark estimate of cost on a locking or limited slip rear dif?
The jeep is a 1995 wrangler with a 4.0 and a manuel trans.
I am really eager to see the bed/drawer system you are doing. Will it be a removable system? I am gathering ideas for my buRV trailer tow or camp project.
I've actually seen this thing as I live a couple miles from this dealership.
The Weasel half is stock but pretty rough with lots of bits missing and the VW part is too. It was a pretty basic modification of bolting the VW to the weasel.
I've had two suburbans and both had the tailgate. I didn't choose a tailgate, they just had them.
I got a lot of use from the tailgates as a table a place to sit and as a kitchen counter. A lot of things have broken on those suburbans but never the rear window.
Both really, We've been exploring the desert for years but in diesel trucks or trucks with Chevy engines. I just have no knowledge about these vans other than I like the concept.
We will be using the rig for desert exploration on pretty rough dirt roads or cross country but not rock crawling...
Hi All,
Doing the research on two choices for a desert camping rig and it's down to a Suburban or a 4X4 Ford van.
I'm finding a fair number or 4X4 Ford vans out here in Calif that have Quigley conversions in passenger configuration. These are in the 1978 to 1983 model years with either a 351...
There will be another Suburban in our house soon. So this is the first of many posts seeking your knowledge and opinion.

This is a newbie question from a trailer guy.
We're looking at Pop up truck campers as a way to get to place we can't haul the stream to. Our truck is an F250 4X4 that is raised a few inches over stock.
The bed of the truck is approx. four feet off the ground. What system(s) are there so us...
Hi Rob,
I want to thank you for posting the pictures of the F250 camper. Since I have that model truck in a slightly raised 4X4 I was very curious what you could do with that small truck bed. You did well. You fit a lot of stuff into a small area.
Please post more interior pictures. I really...
If you got the trailer you could fit the kids in the jeep and carry the equipment and comfort items for the Mrs. in the trailer. Easier to take the family camping.
I spotted it in a back yard in the Pacific North West. So I door knocked and a bit later I was lighter by $1,300.00 and was looking around town for a rental trailer to haul it home.
Here's the tow beast that is also used on water hole projects and wandering the desert. It's an 07 F250 4X4 Super Duty PSL
This is the 1953 Air Force Ambulance project. It's complete inside and out with only 26K miles on it. I am toying with sliding a modern power wagon chassis and drive train...
Here's my two jeeps. The first one is a bone stock 1942 Willys Marine Corp jeep.
And here's the new 95 that never touched dirt until I got it. It has a ways to go.
