Well I haven't done much on the trailer since we have been using it non-stop, and I've not had much time. But, I'm currently about to make some changes to the trailer to get the awnings moved around, flipping the 270 to the opposite side, adding the ARB awning to the rear, and using the ARB room...
Yes I saw it and it looks nice. Was just speaking in general terms. And it all depends on how easy you can see that screen etc. Definitely many different ways to accomplish your goals however. What you have done thus far looks amazing.
If I were you I would use hidden audio and just connect your phone and use it as the hidden audio controller. Most have hands free and you can use your phone for everything. Then when needed, you can use a tablet for a navigator and it will also connect. Usually up to 3 screens.
Out of sight...
What an adventure!!!
Sounds like you got in a bad way up there. Did you recover well the next day? I've (knock on wood), been bad off before, but I don't believe I've been that bad. That would have freaked me out a bit I think. The sights are STUNNING however. And boy howdy y'all hiked a long way!
Another Toyo M/T user here with zero issues from them. They have been the only thing to hold up under my heavy truck and long distance gravel and rock roads.
The rear coils definitely affect payload, hence the reduced capacity for it overall. But I've yet to see it hinder anyone within its capacity. I do prefer the leaf springs however for a truck. The rear spring trucks have their place though.
Mac, I'll be honest here. I've tried the Falken MT, the AT, and had the RT on the PW I purchased. EVERY SINGLE pair chucked like that. The MT couldn't even make it 9k miles on my Ram and it was junk. I'm not saying the tires are bad on every vehicle, I just feel they may have some limitations...
I'd personally steer you to a 350 for added payload over a 250, there is just no reason not too. But I'd definitely buy a Ford HD with towing and camper options and aux switches, dual alt, etc; if I was buying today.
Really like these things. If they seem to be reliable long term, I can see picking the wife one up in a few years. Great pics!
Good luck with the purchase and delivery BTW.
