I did similar and eventually ditched the insert because I could never get it sealed well and hated that it blocked a hatch while in use. I eventually just cut and inlet hole on the back of the camper and am much happier with it.

A not on your condensation comment, the muffler actually has a weep hole. So it doesn’t matter which way the pipe is pointed and long as the weep hole is oriented correctly. But your comment is valid as his post did not have the weep hole oriented correctly either.

I got them from Amazon. The ones I got aren’t in there anymore. But just search diesel heater elbow and there’s plenty of options. Between there and eBay you can get every elbow, splitter, or attachment you can think of for these heaters.

Next order of business is figuring out how I want to do a roof rack. I had them use unistrut for the rails instead of rhino rack rails, so I'm thinking about doing a horizontal set of unit strut on top of it. Want to mount traction boards and maybe a rod holder tube.

That magnetic light in your hatch looks pretty cool, You can probably stick it anywhere you want to the outside of your truck too or wherever there's steel

I have an OVRLND on my F250 with the barn doors. I have been thinking about go to the full barn doors. But, I hate to lose the back up camera that is in the tail gate. Has anyone with the full barn doors come up with a solution to some how incorporate the back up camera onto the rear door?

I'm also looking to add the barn door extension! I was about to come over here and ask if anybody has done it and how was the experience.

I actually have my backup camera placed just above the barn doors. It's a completely wireless camera that came with its own display. In my opinion, that's the perfect location for a backup camera

Played around with my heater today. I cut both the power and control cables. Added twist connect fittings. Drilled and mounted the surface mounts. Ran new wires, and gave it a test.
Everything worked great. Tested the thermostat setting, seemed to work just fine. The burner shut down when the temperature was reached. The fan slowed way down, but stayed on. Then the burner would reignite when the temperature dropped.
I need to test it out when it's below 20° F and see how it does.

Pretty slick setup, how do you fill the Aux tank up?
The tank cap is accessible in the wheel well, I have a 5 gallon diesel tank that I fill up at the pump and then I use it to fill the 5kw which I now use to heat my garage; and the 2kw tank for the truck. I use a ball check valve syphon hose and it takes about 2 minutes to transfer. I find that after 4-5 days of running the heater straight, I still have about a half tank (4 gallon on the truck). This is an example of the hose I use.

I decided not to cut in any kind of a fill nozzle from outside, as I am only filling this tank up occasionally and this works well enough for the mild inconvenience.
