    Alaskan Camper Build Up

Sorry about the delay in replying, but we were out having fun! The tires and wheels now have approximately 55,000 miles on them now and I have to say and doing great. I have about one more year of use on them, or thirty thousand miles. They hold the weight of the truck and camper well and there...

Tire Changing on a Full Size Truck

I have already talked to people selling Paratech and similar equipment. Their prices are obviously geared to government budgets and not mine... The air assisted bottle jack is a nice idea, but it would be difficult to use on uneven terrain. With 4x4's, a jack and a mat can get you out of most...

Tire Changing on a Full Size Truck

I'm looking for a safe and dependable way to lift a corner of my 14,000 lb vehicle for tire changing, putting on chains and help getting un-stuck. I talked to ARB, and the left bags are simply not rated for a vehicle of this weight. My Hi-Lift is not rated for this weight and is an accident...

    Earthroamer: new tire/wheel/suspension

It will be interesting to see if SRW will become a F550 factory option some day. I'll be in the market for a truck upgrade when Ford straightens out their diesel problems and the new Scorpion is a proven engine. At that time I would like to go SRW, but have to say 90% of the world doesn't need...

    Alaskan Camper Build Up

We've been camping all over Colorado this summer, Most good and one bad. We also made a few small add on's to the camper to make things a little easier. Propane quick release fittings on passenger side for outside stove and barbecue, in addition to the existing compressed air quick release...

    Best GPS?

The 60 cs looks nice, but the screen is even smaller than I'm dealing with now. Not cool when trying to drive. I looked at the Nuvi 5000 and it has mixed reviews all around. The other option is the GVN 53 and run the audio to my stereo and the video to my back up camera. Any thoughts on this...

    Best GPS?

Well my Garmin Quest is in the midst of it's last death throes and I am now contemplating is successor. Recommendations? I need a large screen unit that works well for on and off the road that I can link to my laptop for updates and downloads. Touch screen would be nice, voice not nessesary...

    Best Portable Grill

I use a Weber Baby Q that is plumbed to a line off my camper propane. Works great rain or shine and I would replace it with the same if it died tomorrow. Whatever you do, don't buy a Magma. I have one sitting in the garage and it's a piece of ******t.
