    GE MVS

This might not be precisely all you need, but it is a good start. Seems like a ready made at fleebay might be easier. USB to DB9 Serial http://www.amazon.com/C2G-Cables-26886-Serial-Adapter/dp/B000067RVJ/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1400855462&sr=1-2&keywords=usb+to+serial+c2g DB9 -...

Solar panel and IBS battery monitor query

Simply put-- When the auxiliary battery gets below a certain voltage, the aux battery and the main battery are separated. When you charge your aux battery, and it goes above the separation voltage, it reconnects, charging both the aux battery, and the main battery. Keep in mind this is not a...

    GE MVS

I would guess you need to have a null modem adapter or cable to make it work, but I don't have any first hand experience with it. here is a pretty handy looking reference site on the radio. http://www.powerlinenoise.com/n0rq/mvs/

    100+ ambient Temp - ARB 50qt - 100 watt solar panel - Not enough?

This product can reduce energy consumption for heating / cooling by as much as 90%. Lining a walk in cooler, camper, house with it really does a good job. It might be a bit much for a car fridge though. http://truprotect.com/

Fuel/Water can holder on LR3 rear tire carrier

Zombie thread, that's hilarious. You would also note, his roof rack has two slots that fit 2 scepter 5gl gas/water cans perfectly. Which ladder did you use, I think I'm about due for a ladder.

    100+ ambient Temp - ARB 50qt - 100 watt solar panel - Not enough?

I'd be real interested in the results of all of the above. Keep us posted~!! I know that I need to replace my main power run, I know that I have a voltage drop, of 0.5v This is lost to resistance in the wiring, it is "consumed" in the wiring, or wasted whatever you want to call it. To...

    Solar Panel Issues......Help!

NICE-- big picture-- Yes, that is what I would suggest, perhaps a better quality one. Powerwerx has some decent ones, I haven't had any problems with them, some look the same, for all I know they are all made in the same place. http://www.powerwerx.com/fuses-circuit-protection/

    100+ ambient Temp - ARB 50qt - 100 watt solar panel - Not enough?

What is the advertised power consumption and size of your fridge. I have an Engel 32, and I live in TX. Without solar in the summer I have been able to keep it running in the back of the vehicle all summer long. But, it needed just a little more to not over discharge the battery, I am just in...

    Solar Panel Issues......Help!

What kind of fuse holders are you using. You should not be using something so flimsy you have connection issues, like old glass type fuses. Post picture of flimsy connection and any other wiring if you have something bigger.

Solar panel and IBS battery monitor query

OK... Do not worry about the controller to the panel wire length, you could easily have a 25' cable for that and have no trouble. 6' is very short run, depending on what your max amperage you settle on, 30-40 you can use AWG 8 or AWG 6. I really like marine flat cable for these projects...

Solar panel and IBS battery monitor query

Good question, one I asked myself when I went to install. I am actually going to start putting together some kits I think, with all the bits necessary. You do not HAVE to connect to the load side, you can also run it directly from the battery. The up side of connecting on the load side, is that...

10g Wire Big Enough for Fridge and Ham Radio?

Yup... or 8-10 and then if you upgrade radios you won't have to do it again. Also, consider marine grade safety duplex.

The "Well isn't that Clever" Thread

Very cool, wish I needed it. You can find your power cut off switches in the ham thread. The devices I like are here. http://www.powerwerx.com/fuses-circuit-protection/ Pwrgaurd Plus. All this stuff adds to the drain on the battery for sure.

10g Wire Big Enough for Fridge and Ham Radio?

Good point, and various types of wire typically have their own losses. As a result, one AWG 6 might not be the same as the next. A good simple test after you install is the measure the voltage at the source, and at the end of the wire, and see how big the difference is. If it's the same, that's...

    Auxiliary fuel tank for LR4

I highly doubt that, it seems ridiculous. I do know a few people have mentioned having them, very few. Sign a waiver. I didn't notice it on ARB US or AU web sites..

    Auxiliary fuel tank for LR4

I think you can get it from frontrunner. If not, I could get it next shipment from SA for you. You may have to special order it, I doubt it is stocked. You can also try Justin @ lucky8llc.com and Josh at british4x4outfitters.com I wouldn't try them all, as I imagine they're all getting them...
