Eighteen months in the making... here's the book: Building a Teardrop Trailer: Plans and Methods for Crafting an Heirloom Camper

Yes. We boondock. It's a rare event when we use a campground so it's all about off-pavement camping. Paved roads are for getting to the dirt roads. Here's our previous teardrop. Structurally, they are the same. The only reason I built this new one was to write the book. Other...

"More about the author isn't showing on Amazon yet" If you click on the name, it'll take you to my other books and then click again on my name and it'll take you to my author page. It takes time for Amazon to link everything together. "I think it needs a short introduction to what teardrop...

I too saw that. Fortunately, I can't control reviews. I've got good feedback from a handful of others on it so, hopefully, there will be some reviews about the books soon. At least now you can read the first 22 pages with the Look Inside feature. There are some really horrible books on...

Eighteen months in the making... here's the book: Building a Teardrop Trailer: Plans and Methods for Crafting an Heirloom Camper

It takes about 24 hours for the two editions to be linked. It sounds a bit like you have a book or two out there? Thanks, Tony

Thanks. And whether you like it or not, if you could give it a review when you've got a couple of minutes. I have had other requests for a Kindle version which will work fine on tablets with the photos. So that should be up tomorrow. Tony

Thanks for the reply. I think the only way one can do a "look inside" is with a Kindle edition and I hesitate to do that since the photographs are so important and Kindles don't do really well with pics. I'll stick the title on, Again, thanks. Tony

Eighteen months in the making... here's the book: Building a Teardrop Trailer: Plans and Methods for Crafting an Heirloom Camper

A long-term project that I'm quite pleased with. I have watched so many teardrop builders struggle (which is probably just part of the process). I hope this takes some of the angst out of creating one of these remarkable campers. 192 pages, 221 photos and 31 pencil biting chapters...

    Teardrop Camper Layout Design

Just remember, part of the beauty of a teardrop type camper is the near-zero setup. Level if needed, unhitch, and throw out the table and chairs. And start cooking with gas. T

    Extendable tongue? Regrets?

Barley is the word. According to Nucor's fastener shear schedule, if those are Grade 2, 3/8" bolts, you're good to about 88,000 pounds. T

    Extendable tongue? Regrets?

I went with a side mount jack on this last build. Works great.

    Extendable tongue? Regrets?

I had the same problem with my teardrop. When I upgraded to a 3rd gen Tacoma, the tailgate wouldn't quite clear the trailer's jack. I bought an extended ball mount. T
