    Roof Rack Help?

What about building a steel/aluminum frame on top of the bed rails to bump the flip pac up another 4-6 inches to clear the basket? That's all I got. Good luck.

Pic Request.... Show me your fullsize quad cab going through the squeeze...

No problem. I'll dig deep to look for the evidence, but we did it in my buddy's 01 Dodge 2500 long bed. If I remember correctly the tires hit the rock down low at the squeeze and kind of lifted the truck up. Drinking and wheeling make for fuzzy memories.

Am I crazy for considering a black colored vehicle?

Living in the desert s.w. I said I'd never own a black vehicle....I too got a good deal on a truck and it's black. I only regret it 3 months of the year. It used to look really nice all cleaned up, but it's so scratched up now I just leave it dirty. I will never buy a black car again, unless...

What do you use for a truck gun?

I have a JM stamped Marlin stainless. I put the Skinner Peeps on and it's awesome. Holds 10 rounds and with the smallest aperture sight is very accurate at 100 yards.

    Jeep to F150 HD SCREW...

The hi liner sits about 6 inches higher than the cab. It's flush where they meet by the upper brake light then transitions higher. I think it looks great. With 33 inch tires the top of the rack sits at about 7 feet 1 inch. Hope this helps.

    Jeep to F150 HD SCREW...

I just got a sport hi liner for my truck and it's pretty nice. I went ahead and ordered the sportsman package(500lb weight rating), pet screens, and Yakima rack. I didn't want the flip down front window because I have a solid rear window but it came with it and a little slider. I also have the...

    F150 overland build

That'll be sweet. I've often thought of building a ute style flat bed. Pseudo cruiser Americana version. Good luck. Make sure you weigh it before it's installed-very curious.

    Flatbed- function over form ?

That's funny. I've been thinking about putting a flatbed on my f150 supercrew. I've looked at Ute beds and CM as well. I think a flatbed would be great for my needs.

    Miyata 1000 touring bike

WOW!! Seeing those gray panniers really took me back to when I was a kid in the mid 80's when all I wanted to do was stuff mine full of gear and get a way for a night or two. GLWS- I don't have $100,000 but, I bet you could get over $500.00. My dream bikes sit in the basement because I won't...

Fullsize Pickups; Half Ton Trucks.........Which & Why

Hey D45, I've got a 13 with the 5.0. I'm getting 18 MPG with 33 inch STMAXX. It seems to have plenty of power to boot. I can fill up the (small) bed with a full load of green fire wood and it still scoots up the hills. I did notice a little lag in performance above 9,000 feet. Pretty happy with...
