I just ordered some ST Maxx in 255/85/16 for my new to me (87) suburban. I also run this tire in a 255/80/17 on my F350 and according to the tire calculator they're almost identical.
UPDATE: They're actually the Cooper ST.
Picking up this 87 3/4 ton tomorrow morning. 4 speed. Bare bones/vinyl. Minimal rust. Runs ok. Needs some new tires. Pretty excited.
Had a nice 91 for about a year. It had some electrical gremlins that I didn’t want to deal with.
I had the Snugtop Sport hi-liner on my F150. The fit and finish was great, and I really liked the mounting system. I had it stored in my barn and while lowering it it slipped out of the 2x6 cradles I made. It dropped about 2 feet and shattered the fancy rear glass door and driver side window. I...
A quick bit of some more information. As I stated earlier in here my wife has the 6.7 diesel. Anyway, her belt started to squeak a week or 2 ago. I was going to replace it myself but after researching it I didn’t want to take the radiator out or monkey with all the stuff on top of the motor...
I'm not sure about the radiator thing yet, just going off of what the diesel guy said. But, taking the cab off or removing half the stuff around the engine is not something I want to be a part of. I did work on my '01 Cummins and my wife's '06 Cummins a bit, there was definitely more room in...
Since this is a gas vs diesel thread I'll share this little bit. I've got the '14 6.2. Tons of space in and around the motor. Wife has an '11 6.7. No space at all. Her belt was squeaking so I figured I'd throw one on for her. No dice! There is stuff everywhere. Talked with the local diesel fix...
Dude, Nice rig. Don't want to send your thread in another direction but, we share the same back yard and I was curious if you like those STT Pros for around here? Thanks
IdaShow. Thanks for the info. I had a Ranch Hand on my old Dodge that had 3 deer hits on it, there was only a little bump on some of the front diamond plate. Super beefy indeed, but really heavy. I would love an ARB on my truck, but $2500 is a ton of money for a bumper.
IdaSHO....I was certain that was a Buckstop. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the ARB. It was on my radar but I thought it was seeming kinda lightweight. Thanks
I'll quickly share my story. Wife bought a new 06 2500. Windows/interior lights started to misbehave around 30-40k miles. At 93,000 miles (religious about changing fuel filter) she blew the number 6 cylinder wall out. Went back and forth about what to do. She loved that truck so we had the...
2014 F350 CC short bed 4:30 and 33's lightly loaded and I'm getting 12.5 mpg according to the computer. Next long drive I'll hand calculate the numbers. I just got the 2 inch spring kit from Bilstein and will be installing it soon. I got this truck because my old '13 F150 couldn't handle a...
Got the Bilstein kit with 2 inch extra springs and the 5100 all the way around. Should be here tomorrow. Couldn’t justify the price for the OME kit right now. Got everything for $475. Probably won’t get around to installing it till next weekend.
Thanks everyone...My goal is to negate some of the rake and get 35's under there with no rubbing. Minimal lift. I want to put it on and be done, I don't want to tinker/adjust shocks or send them in to be rebuilt. I spoke to the ARB tech guy and he said it would fit my gas engine truck. Spring...
