Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

Anyone for breakfast? 12 hours of running my diesel heater overnight plus running my electric skillet for dinner and breakfast. My Pecron 600 is down to 45%. Not bad for such a small power supply. My truck will recharge it on the drive home today.

Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

Here's one major debatable decision I made. I kept the freedom tops in when building my camper. I still love going open air. but I gave up a lot of camper room. If I extended the bed over the freedom tops, I would be able to walk in the back of the camper without pushing up the bed platform...

Thanks for the Earthroamer XV-JP reminder. They stopped making this camper, but it would be a cool Gladiator Platform.

Here's a JL camper I haven't seen before. Interesting layout. They use the side doors to enter the camper and put the kitchen across the back. Wish I could read French. https://www.feetrun.fr/page-3

This is still one of my favorite Jeep Campers (except for mine of course). Hard to believe it is a slide on for a Wrangler. http://www.actioncamper.info/details.php?ktid=26&artID=634

I think both Dan and your rigs will be great. I mostly sleep upstairs, but can also sleep below, when I pull in to camp late and don't want to pop it up. I haven't stealth camped at Walmart or Lowes yet, but not having to pop up the camper does come in handy occasionally. Here's how I...

Here is a link to my 100 page Gladiator Forum. On page 32, I have a lot of pictures on sewing the tent. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/gladiator-expedition-rigs.44600/page-32

Here you go. Looks like great minds think alike (Top Notch #9):) Below is my order for Canvas, windows and supplies. Let us know what material, if any you add for insulation. The insulation will be nice in the cold, but might make it more difficult to store away when the top is folded. My...

Engineering principle #1, Keep It Simple (KIS). Love your drafting and machining skills! You should frame your drawing of the hinge. It's beautiful and so are the hinges. For tent material, I went with Marine Grade Canvas from Sailrite.com. They have everything you need including clear...

Here's a simple interior layout for a Ford Ranger, which would work well with any short bed pickup. I like how light and simple it is. It would also work well in a Gladiator.

A couple nice days exploring around Iron County MO. The old mining villages in this area are called Ironton, Silvermines, Graniteville, Steelville, Old Mines, Leadwood and Mineral Point. Old miners didn’t have much imagination! Rough and beautiful country.

It won't be boring black for long. I vote for #4 on both sides with the Grizzly on the back. What ever you choose will be great. By the way, if you take the Grizzly hunting, you might just scare all the deer away!
