good theory as to how it missed the mark.

Lol not that many scooters. Lots of Hyundai sedans. Had one Tesla roll in staying just up a few places from us. Tesla would definitely be a great vehicle your biggest power use would be the HVAC system lol. The little Jimmy isn’t very common but you do see them.

Next big family tent for Newfoundland trip: Skyliner? Family Camper?

14-18 yrs old teen? Get em their own tents. Way easier to find multiple small flat spots to pitch tents vs one giant spot. That’s actually why we quit using our giant tent. Anything larger than about 8x8 foot print we had to excavate a pad big enough for the tent.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

Those silverados and Suburbans had a strange narrow 2nd row door also. When all the other fresh design 2nd row trucks moved to as large as possible 2nd row doors. Never understood that GM logic

The 2024 Tacoma Hybrid … would you buy one “

1980’s Reliability yes but modern I’m not convinced. I was the only Toyota guy in my big family. My Toyota’s cost me more to maintain than the non Toyotas and went pretty much the same mileage. The only thing they beat the family competition in was the worst gas mileage and worst over all...

The 2024 Tacoma Hybrid … would you buy one “

To be honest it was a very long list for a very long time. Think of the new Tacoma as being brought to 2019 progress at 2023 COVID prices😆. Toyota had to update it because the tooling was likely completely worn out from 15yrs of pressing out the same parts for so long.

The 2024 Tacoma Hybrid … would you buy one “

Mercedes tried that it failed miserably. Got lousy mileage people didn’t buy them price vs the regular version didn’t make sense. I suspect Toyota buyers especially truck buyers looking at the price of these in addition to dealer markups are going to take the same route even more so. If they...

The 2024 Tacoma Hybrid … would you buy one “

I got these when they first came out. First set our local Americas tire shop had ordered. Have been very impressed by them. Definitely getting another set in 30k ish. They have 32k on em and haven’t lost any snow or wet performance yet. Mileage impact vs the terrible stock tires was possibly...

The 2024 Tacoma Hybrid … would you buy one “

The 35’s alone are likely 5+mpg hit. Its crazy how big of an impact tires have on mileage. Its one thing if your actually doing stuff where tire size and capability is needed vs just doing it (because) lol. Which case the mileage hit is the price you pay for tire capabilities. It seems much...

The 2024 Tacoma Hybrid … would you buy one “

Yup. You don’t get to ruin aerodynamics with body and front clip modifications, giant A/T tires and other stuff then complain about mileage 😆 Even going from a general all season tire to a heavy A/T tire easily costs you 3mpg. Vs say a mild A/T tire like a BFG Trail Terrain or the other hybrid...

The 2024 Tacoma Hybrid … would you buy one “

No need for hybrid to get low mid 20’s with a mid sized 4x4. My 400hp full sized non hybrid nearly does that. 21-23mpg road trips is normal. Non plugin hybrid 4x4’s generally don’t see much if any mileage improvements. A highlander isn’t a heavy draggy transfer case vehicle so don’t use that as...

The Sienna same platform is in the 40-44mpg range. Both are front wheel drive with rear wheel assist AWD system. Comparing that platform to a body on frame truck is about like comparing the Camry to the Tacoma, Camry shares the same platform with the Highlander, Sienna, and various Lexus models...

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

The 3.0 is built to run higher RPMs than the 2.7. For work use the 2.7 is the better engine. For light duty racing use the 3.0 is the Faster of the two. The Ranger Raptor is tuned to be a sport truck not a work truck. If your discussing payloads the 3.0 is the wrong engine. If your discussing...

In Support of a Household 120V Fridge in a Camper?

There is very little to no difference between house hold fridges and “RV” fridges except cost. Its kinda like buying stainless bolts at a marine shop they are 200% more than the hardware shop around the corner both shops buy from the same supplier😆.

In Support of a Household 120V Fridge in a Camper?

This is one reason you see big $ rigs running 24v or even today 48v secondary power systems because its more efficient load wise to power inverters with 24-48v sources to get 120v power to appliances etc. 12v to 120v inverters are really inefficient so its not ideal.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

Reliability differences today are pretty slim between brands. Hell most are sourcing various parts from the same suppliers. I think today the biggest factor is quality dealer access vs rip off store fronts. Our GM and Ford dealers are still locally owned not Auto group store fronts. They pay...
