Not very safe buying things here

Yeah watch out! By the way a private well managed Face Book Parents group I’m in. We had a well known parent get her account hacked. And another parent “bought concert tickets” from the hacker thinking it was the well known member. $3000 lost… We all now tell people face to face meet up or no...

Custom Trailer to haul "Toad" vehicle (vs flat-tow)

I’d even say keep an eye out for a cheap boat trailer. You can tweak / modify it easily to get the right weight balance and it will have the width you need to keep the tracker right side up

Custom Trailer to haul "Toad" vehicle (vs flat-tow)

Single axle setup seems ideal 3500 and under is no big deal as long as you have quality tires. 1/2 as much moving parts to deal with regarding maintenance. I get the duel axle argument but honestly I’d pick a single axle as long as added stability isn’t something thats needed. A single axle toad...

    The Status of Overlanding Today

We have a few “over landers “ in our neighborhood. Talking full on ARB awnings, fancy boxes bolted on, shovels, high lift jacks, jerry cans etc. One dad with such rig was at a parent party this weekend and was complaining that someone stole his highlift, shovel and jerry can even stole two...

After 8 years in a full size, moving back to a mid-size - Recommendations?

I’m in the hottest Ca markets that saw slow sales during the 08 mess but little in price changes. Today its slowed way down and over priced stuff is just straight up ignored. Market rate stuff sells in 15 days still. The second home region we are looking in is definitely tied to stock market...

After 8 years in a full size, moving back to a mid-size - Recommendations?

As a buyer in this market I will say this! Cash buyers are shopping!! But they are different buyers. Cash buyers are savy money people that research the heck out of comps and market history. The biggest driving factor to cash buyers is the stock market which is coming down some. (Probably a...

Bundle Your EV Charger Build Cost Into Your Car Loan? BofA sez, sure!

Maybe in your region. All my properties with electric dryer option are a 50 amp circuit 1968-1973-1978. The 1919 place is gas dryer. All the places I have been shopping are 50 amp. In our house with Tesla T3 we repurposed a 50 amp circuit unused and ran conduit and a standard dryer Plug for the...

Everyone's a Guest at FORD now

Our Ford dealers are all like your Honda dealer. The Lincoln/ Ford shop just moved their Hyundai store and rebuilt the building for the Lincoln line up same property/ building just opposite side from the Ford store. Was told that Ford was requiring a stand alone store front for Lincoln again or...

Everyone's a Guest at FORD now

The dealers are scrambling to find ways to add value after bending the customers over the finance desk. As for plugin hybrids and full EVs they need to white glove those owners because they’ll see them once in 100,000 miles not counting recalls. Ford is even doing mobile service calls like...

    The Status of Overlanding Today

Go read the “War in the Woods” its a book written by a CA game warden based in Santa Rosa CA. Those grows don’t need to be way out in the nether lands. We had one about 1/2 mile from our house were 12miles as the crow flies from Market street San Francisco. Over 1000 houses were given a shelter...

Bundle Your EV Charger Build Cost Into Your Car Loan? BofA sez, sure!

Ok so first off most EV users use a standard 220 electric dryer plug with a 50amp circuit and a basic level 2 travel charger that often comes with the EV. Tesla tried to make it an extra item $200 and that didn’t go well so they still put one in the trunk of every car sold. There is a scam /...

    Traveling with a dog

Good question. Some trips especially any NP trips with lots of hiking on the planner we board them. State campgrounds shorter trips we often take with. On arrival we’ll go for a short walk before setting up. Then have them 2 dogs hangout in their bed in the back of the SUV with rear window open...

good theory as to how it missed the mark.

For one my Platinum was 7k less than any dealer would let a limited with a couple of options go for. So I got a better deal than many folks who were fixated on the MSRP and bought a rare Limited vs loaded Platinum😆. You can’t find any basic trims with heavy tow pack and 2spd transfer cases...

good theory as to how it missed the mark.

There were a few Ranger Raptors in Italy during the trip I did last June. I was surprised how many we did see. However they were huge in comparison to most vehicles being used.
