Most mirrors fold damn near flat. I agree with the hazards of a permanently mounted side ladder...and quite honestly the lack of function having it bolted in a single position. The best solution (IMHO) would be to install anchors at all four corners that a customized portable ladder would lock...
No, they are out of an 06 Roadtrek 190 that had collision damage and was totalled. I'm going to pull the top plates off them to see how the spindle/bearing set up works and put some fresh grease in them. I'll take a couple shots of that and post them up.
Still not sure what the switch on the...
Bought a pair of Roadtrek swivel front seats today, the bases are serious beef...they must weigh close to 25lbs by themselves. The swivel point is in fact to the inboard and rear to pull the seat away from the steering column, door panel/pillar.
I'm not a Ford 7.3 guy but have a buddy with one, his made 15-17 stock, he disconnected the waste gate actuator and it was making low 20's. He's since tuned it and made other changes and is up around 25psi...power difference is amazing but his mileage went to $hit.
My guess is that you either...
egr and dpf delete are a must for the LMM duramax (IMHO) but once you do that you basically have an LBZ with even better injectors and a better data bus system..
Ford F450/550 are great donors for a front axle...no strength/braking concerns as they are in the same weigh class... Not that the...
If you are looking specifically for a Kodiak front axle then yes...you could easily use a Ford high pinion dana60 (super 60) with DRW hubs to get the needed width..
The 98 Tahoe 5.7 will be a bolt in and all the van specific stuff from the 5.0 will transfer right over so I'd definitely go that route; my van had a 5.7 when I got it and it was plenty of motor for even my extended 6500lbs hightop. Weld-tec has some coil spring spacers that will get you a...
Tire size is everything when it comes to these swaps, if you're on a set of 33" ATs you can squeak out 20mpg on a smaller vehicle like and LC on the hwy (keeping under 70mph) but as soon as you switch to an MT and go 35" or above that heavy tire at hwy speed wants your gas...My Jeep Commando is...
If you have a subscription on AllDataDIY for your rig you can look up "power and ground distribution" electrical diagrams, the ground systems (at least for gm) use "splice packs" where multiple circuits ground at at common connection, if you can match up the systems that are giving you problems...
If you have a van that you are working on/building and don't have a build thread (somewhere)then you are part of the problem (with forums like these slowing down). Everyone wants to search up detailed threads with lots of pictures of exactly what they want...and then they get that information...
On the front; as soon as you get beyond 1.5" or so the geometry of the spindle/tire will be a problem, that's why weldtec uses custom spindles. This is the main limitation of the A-arm suspension both for the stock 2wd and AWD vans as well as the Quigley equipped rigs. Jeremy did a great thing...
A lot of these vehicles were altered when new and so carry that altered designation, my high-top passenger van was that way it is categorized as a "Bus (Not School)" and on the door VIN label it says "Bus". It immediately caused problems when I called AAA to add it to my policy (and I've been...
