Didn't some Toyota Prius models have a solar panel built into the roof about 5 or 1p years ago. I think they abandoned that, as it was too much cost and trouble for too little return - the solar panels on the roof, not the Prius itself. That's pretty successful

My first was also the Super Tinker. Second was Tinker Deluxe. Agree, it's just a bit too wide for pocket carry, especially if I already have a Leatherman and dont need 2 plyers. I got a bunch of others and then also ended up with a Champ, which is usually in my truck or my lunchbox

I'd love to put some panels atop my Leer bed shell. I've got some TracRac up there as well but want to save that for kayaks or whatnot, and mount the panels right onto the shell.

I sure do see your point. That's what I did. Used GMC Sierra with leather and heated seats, etc. It was less expensive than a new one of a lower trim level for sure.
