Seems to be either tiny tear drop, expo with RTT, or a giant heavy job.
I've been looking for years.
We're back to looking at Escape 17 and 19 models. Maybe a Trailmarker but hard sell to my wife. Would like to see one in person, but I live far away from everything.
Pretty key thing to consider is if the V8 WJ has factory tow package.
IIRC the transmission cooler was the big deal. Neither the 4 speed in the I6 or the 5 speed in the V8 were stellar. I think tow rating is officially like 2000# if no tow package from factory, and 5000-5600# if V8 equipped...
Escape lets you customize between two different wood looks, and many different counter top and fabric choices.
Plus for increased cost you can supply your own fabrics and counter tops provided they are acceptable/compatible.
For us, the trailers are already at the top of our budget, so adding...
How are you liking the 6000 series Bilstein? Especially paired with 5100 in the rear?
For travel trailers, there are decent ones, but the price is significantly higher than all the mainstream junk. (Thor and Forest River own probably over half the RV brands in North America)
Consider an...
Nice truck. Love that colour on Raptors
Hey what was part # for the heavy duty transmission cooler you used?
I need a trans cooler for my super anemic version F150 (compared to your Raptor)
You have plans for on board air?
I bought a Viair 400p. Not cheap, not expensive. But I haven't used...
I just checked and that seems to be the case. Unfortunate. Again they seem to have joined the Toyota bandwagon. I guess more people mod Tacoma then F150.
Still seem to offer aluminum for the 15+ Trucks
@ what temp does ten transmission fluid break down or lose performance in the new the speed units?
In my 2014 sans auxiliary transmission cooler I did notice my fans had a higher speed. Never ever heard them go to the high speed until doing a logging road switch back up a mountain in BC. That's...
What we figured.
We would be going dual battery and solar so running the max fan with windows open is an option, but limits power left for other things.
It's a shame everyone seems to have tear drops or RTTs on box trailers, or giant earth roamer style stuff with every option and nothing in...
Hoping people here have experience camping in hot weather (80°f + 25°c +) in fiberglass egg style campers. Like a 17' Casita, Scamp, or especially Escape.
Right now my wife and air have a crappy pop up camper. I've had enough of stapled together OSB and caulking, but at the very least these...
If Ford starts using aluminum on the Ranger upgrade and it sheds a few hundred pounds, I may consider a crew cab and figure out what the hell to do about the tiny bed.
Hopefully some photos and specs of new Ranger and the shrouded in mystery Bronco come out in the next few months.
I do understand the argument for the just right outer dimensions of the current mid size trucks when used in urban environments.
I also feel once you get crew cab for passengers the bed becomes uselessly small.
There aren't currently incentives on Rangers around me. XLT SCAB F150 3.3 and even...
Not only was the compact market dead (frontier & Tacoma got larger over time) and the 5 cylinder junk from GM went away, Ford figured the new V6 engines in the F series would pull people buying trucks for "fuel economy".
Not that the Ranger was good for that. I had a 2008 SCAB sport 4x4 4.0...
I was excited they offered a mild hybrid with the 3.3, until I realized they force you to get a Limited before you can even chose the hybrid option.
Haven't looked too far into them. Just saw a longitudinal engine/RWD based drive train a a towing rating of 5000#.
Thought it was a step in the...
Any thoughts on the new 2020 Explorer that's gone back to RWD?
Other than of course it's way too much $ and full of bling even on an XLT, and missing low range?
