Anyone tried using an Explorer?

Any thoughts on the new 2020 Explorer that's gone back to RWD?

Other than of course it's way too much $ and full of bling even on an XLT, and missing low range?

I don't see anything special on the new Explorers. They're just like any Crossover out there. No lo range, road-oriented AWD. I'm sure they'll be fine on dirt roads. I wouldn't get one, personally, for the places I go.

I was excited they offered a mild hybrid with the 3.3, until I realized they force you to get a Limited before you can even chose the hybrid option.

Haven't looked too far into them. Just saw a longitudinal engine/RWD based drive train a a towing rating of 5000#.

Thought it was a step in the right direction.

IMO the longitudinal engine/RWD is kind of lipstick on a pig.

It isn't really what you are hoping it is.

I am hoping the new Bronco is basically a Ford 4Runner. Body on frame with a real rear axle and decently built front underpinnings.
