    Waterport vehicle water supply

I like the idea but as you say, 3.5 gallons is not much. If I understand it correctly the pressure in the tank comes from your house pressure. This means that the pressure will drop back to zero while using the sprayer. Because of this am not sure if you can really get all 3.5 gallons out.

Thoughts on making a 2wd van more capable

Have been thinking about the same issues with my 89 Ford Sportsmobile. Have a 4Runner as well but the van makes camping much more enjoyable for my better half.

    COMEUP Winch Official Thread

Put the power back to the winch on the winch and it beeped for a couple of minutes. The instruction manual said that the remote was synced at the factory. Obviously it was not. Followed the instruction manual on re syncing and and the beeping stopped and both the controllers work. Will get an...

    COMEUP Winch Official Thread

Got a new Seal 9.5rs installed in my 2004 4Runner this week. The blue, yellow and white tagged fat wires wires are attached to the blue, yellow and white posts on the top of the motor. The small white wire is attached to the bottom stud. When the red power lead is connected to the battery the...

Chest Style or Front Open Fridge for Van?

I agree. All the fridges look exactly the same with similar dimensions and specs. That means they come probably come from the same manufacturer.

Chest Style or Front Open Fridge for Van?

We have a Truckfridge 49 behind the drivers seat and love it. It is energy efficient, draws about 2.5 amps and only runs half the time unless it is very hot. Having it accessible inside the van is very convenient for access by the passengers to beverages or food while driving. Your plan of...

Rear locker on 89 Ford 150?

Thanks everyone for the information and recommendations. Am planning on doing some additional research into replacing the entire E150 rear axel and springs with one from the same vintage E350. I think it will give me more options for lockers and the full floater should hold up better off the...

Rear locker on 89 Ford 150?

We have a low mileage 1989 2wd E150 camper van that runs great, gets decent gas mileage, and is all we need it to be except that I am not sure how capable it is off the pavement. Would like to extending our camping adventures on to forest service roads and possibly sandy tracks in the desert or...

    Best Van Opinions

We bought a low mileage, 72,000 miles at the time, Ford E150 2WD Sportsmobile five years ago for $5,000. Have put about $1,000 into it since then. Most of that was for a new rear engine seal. We now have around 83,000 and is running fine. My mechanic had this comment when he saw it, "it is...

Van choice...balance load capacity and MPG

I doubt you will get high mid teems. Our 89 E150 Sportesmobile gets between 12 and 13 MPG. My suggestion would be a E250 or E350. They have more load capacity and can be converted to 4wd much easier than an E150.

    1991 Sportsmobile for 18K?

Ask how old the house and starting batteries are. Also what kind of battery the house battery is, deep cycle RV or AGM. The price seems high to me, 2WD with that body style are $5-$6,000. A 4x4 install on a newer van is in the $10-$15,000 range depending on the lift and other goodies. Our 2wd...

Any alternatives to a 4d house battery

SMB uses the 4D because of the power that it holds. There are options for replacing it but it really depends on how much power you need. For example, our 89 SMB has a group 36 deep cycle RV battery in it but the only power we use is for lights, fridge, and heater. We have 270 watts of solar on...
