So I'm back to where I was a few years ago after a complete 6bt rebuild.:coffeedrink:
Iv got a 1995 E350 with a intercooled, turned up, cummins engine which is centered, not offset on the chassis.
Back when I bought it, I planned to convert it to 4x4 and began compiling information.. Should I...
Quick question about the sterling axle..
I think the sterling truck axles are centered diffs unlike the offset Econoline van's. 2" offset.
Is it possible to use a centered axle due to the lift kit moving the axle/drive-shaft away from the gas tank? And bonus question.. How high of a lift is...
I need a smaller 8' trailer to replace my 24' featherlite sadly. 96" wide please?
Iv learned over the last few years there are so many beautiful boondock sites I can't get to due to the ground clearance and turn around space issues of a 24' TH in Colorado.. Sadly the 4" lift I gave my...
I'm looking for a SRW Dana 70 full float rear axle assembly from a 1992-2007 ford E350 van. No dually's.. 3.73 ratio
Dana 70's were installed in the extended passenger vans, but were also in some of the cargo/box vans from what Iv read.
Thanks
Finder fee negotiable.
I own a 24' featherlite toy-hauler but would like to down size for more remote locations..
What I'm looking for is a small hard side camper which only contains the toilet, shower and kitchen.. Then a attached tent would be for sleeping living..
Does something like that exist?
I'm just about to buy a 89 ford dana 60. The guy also has a 78 kingpin but I would have to move the perch's..
I understand the super-duty leafs are 27.6" front spring eye to center pin. When I eye ball that, it looks like the eye would be in front of the bumper plate. And moving the axle...
I'm rebuilding the engine in my cummins van, and when I started removing the front end , I noticed the Header Panel (and Grill) really reduces and blocks the amount of incoming air.
Can anyone recommend how to improve the amount of free air space to allow my inter-cooler to breath? Thanks!
Is there a motorcycle carrier where you still have use of your trailer hitch for towing? Maybe in the front to leave the rear receiver alone?
This will be needed for my 95 E350 on 35" tires and I'm solo.
Thanks!
Hello...I am the wife of a guy that needs help badly.
He is currently in Colorado, between Gunnison and Almont.
He is in a E-350 van with a Cummins 5.9- 12 valve diesel engine...1st generation.
The van is blowing white smoke constantly when he's driving. It is not looking like antifreeze is...
I have a NV4500 4x4 transmission I will be swapping with my 2wd NV4500. From what I'm gathering, the only issues I would be facing is shortening the gas tank and the drive shaft. Everything else is direct bolt up..
My local weld shop seemed like they would be willing to tig weld my removed...
Iv posted this question in another forum without any response so I will try here..
Since the Dana 70U uses the D60 bearings with the only difference being the larger ID on the pinion head bearing bore. And the 70B, you only get the larger pinion head bearing.. But when you compare a D70HD, you...
I didn't need to see this, but Iv got something going down with my Dana 60. The transmission shop down the road said the chunk looked like part of the bearing..
I planned on switching to a D70HD if/when I found one. And wanted to run my D60FF until then but the big chunk of bearing has me...
I need to order rotors for my 95 E350 SRW rear abs van with a D60 drum rear.
I will be towing up to 10k and I will use my manual 5 speed as much as I can going down mountain passes. But I want to upgrade to premium front rotors and pads. I don't think I need drilled and slotted, but I do want...
Sorry for such a newbie question.. But could anyone please explain, or direct me to the explanation of what it takes to convert a Dana 60 rear to 35 spline? I'm considering it since I need a new limited slip or locker.
Also.. what are the limitations of a 30 spline D60? I plan or running...
I bought a van out of state and even though the owner has agreed he would store the van for a month so I can get a cheaper plane ticket.. I'm still wondering if a Vehicle Shipping and transport company would be a better choice as I don't need to see the vehicle. Its paid and mine.
Anyone...
Can you ID what I just scored?
Second question. Whats the best option for a transfer case? I know the NV 4500 can be converted but is a divorced a better option?
I recently came across a clean 78 Chevy 3/4 ton pathfinder close to me and wanted to hear opinions about the pathfinder conversion capabilities and limitations.
What I have learned so far is all GM/Pathfinder vans had leaf springs, which must be a advantage over coils if you want larger tires...
Iv found allot of low priced quigley E250's with 5.3's and 5.8's. Iv also found a few 2wd E350's with diesels reasonably priced as well.. I could buy both for $5k
Has anyone, or what would it take to remove the dana 44 off a underpowered quigley E250 and install in under a E350 diesel? Is it...
I was talking to a owner of a 1997 quigley e250 who said quigley used the ford split front axle from the f250 in their 4x4 conversions..
Can anyone tell me if the ford split axle is suitable for a diesel or big block swap? Or should I be looking for e350 with dana?
Iv been searching for a 4x4 van. Not a easy task. Sure I found old gassers within 500 miles of me.. But I really need a diesel to pull my camper so Im wondering what it would take for a diesel swap bla bla bla..
Has anyone seen a kit or project where the rear cab wall on a truck...
