I went to a few shops with lathes, no one would touch the project due to “liability”, maby you’ll have luck. As far as the rims, CJC off-road has a raceline rim with the proper back spacing. Good luck!
Hole saw and a dremel. I wouldn’t do this again, just get some rims that are open to allow for the hub. I ran into balance issues and was also worried about the integrity of the rim.
Read the bottle of 0w40 carefully, most don’t meet chrysler spec ( can’t recall the exact spec but it’s in the manual). I’ve been running amsoil since my wife is a dealer, I change the oil when the light comes on the dash, been averaging around 8k on oil changes. FYI amazon has an oil change kit...
Ok so that truck with the trans problem is not the ZF 8 speed. As far as the 7.3 issue, I’m. It going to argue with a ford fan boy online, waste of time.
I haven’t heard of any trans problems with the ZF, nor any front end problems with the 19 plus updates.
on another note, the 7.3 ford has a known problem with a coils wire that goes bad randomly and will put you dead in the water with the replacement part on back order.
On my cummins truck I ran down to 35 psi and was fine, I’m sure you can go lower but I was being cautious. The air damn has little effect for protecting the intercooler, just make sure if your in brush a stick doesn’t ram through it.
A big objective and German glass helps, Burris greatly improved since they bought Steiner optics. I hunt with mainly Leopoldo scopes, I got one vortex viper since I get one hell of a discount for being a police officer and a Steiner, which I now fell in love with. A good place to get a scope...
You can shoot farther in the woods, just depends on if your hunting from a stand or not and brush density. I’ve shot deer with my muzzleloader at 120 in the woods on the move last year. Tracked it Only 10 yards.
Don’t underestimate the .270 win, that’s a very excellent proven round, I hunt wild boars with a .270 and drop them dead in their tract.
vortex makes a great scope, they have the best warranty on the market, just stick with their higher end scopes. For clarity look at German made scopes f you...
I chose the power wagon for the better (more off road capable) suspension, front locker, sway bar disconnect and factory winch that’s standard equipment. On the power wagon I got a fully loaded one out the door cheaper than a tremor. Look at it this way, if you want a truck that will haul a...
You have a very capable rig with lots of aftermarket support. Eliminate low hanging fruit such as the stock tube steps if you got them and factory air dam. Plan on dragging the rear trailer hitch a bit. I would get some sliders and a carli leveling kit or some thuren springs and call it a day.
I’m guessing the front tire kicked something up at higher speed and it tossed it into your rear shock. I had a front tire throw a 1/2 bolt right through a toyo mt once.
