Not really trying to continue making my point, but I was responding to a post about settling when buying new. So, you taking the time to tell me to buy used is irrelevant.
A tacoma is a truck, and is designed for that purpose at a certain price point. It might not have air suspension and...
but you missed the main thing....the Tacoma is a TRUCK. I'd like to see a disco or new defender haul a refrigerator standing up or a cut up tree without ruining the interior.
I would hope the Disco is more comfortable....its built for a different reason and with different materials and costs...
Many who buy a new vehicle 'settle'
I want power windows and locks but no remote start.....sorry
I want a manual trans with the 'big' engine.....sorry
I want nice leather seats and and a center console but don't want to pay for radar cruise and lane departure warnings becuase I have a neck and...
I understand what it takes to build and certify.
Thousands of rules and regs to abide by.
However, those rules and regs don't necessitate ugliness and over complicating systems just to do it.
This is my point. LR is not the only brand to forget its roots. Just one of the latest.
Thats the best they could do under the hood on a world wide auction platform? At least get a new $40 air filter.
I missed it, what was done to get the 444hp out of a 7.3?
BUt that is a POS promaster that you are abusing. Those things suck when they roll off the assembly line.
I would hope that GM, when designing a ground up, brand new DELIVERY van, had convos with FedEx. Do you need AC and heat in eveyr market? Around here in most of NC, you see the driver...
Wh is it a high hurdle? They know the mileage these trucks drive every day, the routes, and they are all returning to a central spot every night for charging (once chargers are in place and the grid is capable). Range, route mapping, and charging can be even more optimized than a regular...
Just open the hood and you'll see that they overcomplicated it and rushed it. A nice mid sized N/A engine would have done JUST fine. Less to engineer, less to test, less to break, less to warranty, less to gamble with and suffer more negative press.
Too small tie rods? I thought they...
Got any under the hood pics of the 7.3 in your RV? Is it crammed in there?
Do you just carry blocks of wood so the leveling jacks still work after the suspension lift?
what year is that Coachmen?
Every automaker can't serve 100% of the population. That will never happen. They will obviously take a look at where the most people live and make calculated moves to try and serve as many as possible in the US and Canada.
Someone living super remote and working even more remote may have to...
Asian motors sold in the US now don't meet emissions?
Ford and GM have factories in Europe
However, if that 5 vs 10 years parts availablity bit is true, then OK. Carry on.
well....there is an epidemic of people not wanting to work (yet still geting 'paid') here in the states, its well documented, and someone being upset/pissed about it is warrented, especially in their own thread.
I just can't wrap my head around why the HD chevy designers used Jake Tucker's face...
I just can't wrap my head around the guy wanting to build a rugged, analog truck and then using a BWM engine and trans and having a screen at all. Thats not what you said you wanted!
If I had a billion dollars and a blank sheet of paper (every car guys dream).....ain't no WAY I'm having a...
