Congrats on getting your truck weighed first. Given the trim level of your truck I think you may be in for a little surprise at what capacity you have left over for a camper.
Most Grandby’s re being put on 3/4 or 1 ton trucks. Even a Hawk might be overweight...
Anton I don't know if you know but Porsche raced the Cayanne in the 2008 Transsyberian Rally and did very well. In fact they built 6(?) cars and I think all of them finished.
You could actually order a new Cayanne with the TR package straight from the factory so if you need something specific...
It's been great. The only issue was that Jeep didn't install a plate to protect the DEF injector. I bought one in the aftermarket. It will be interesting to see how/what Jeep does to protect this on the JT, particularly in something like the Rubicon trim...
We rented some 79 Series Land Cruisers in Africa last year that were outfitted with AluCab rear bed cap like this..

Do you know if AluCab will/can make one to fit the new Jeep Gladiator? They seem to be very similar in size...
Thanks.
Thanks guys.
The trailer is a Dinot which has fiberglass sides. Internally there are some channel steel and that is what the rail brackets are mounted to. I'll look into either adding a third rail or running a pair perpendicularto the ones on there.
Sorry for the noob question. It I haven't been able to find an answer.
My trailer has a pair of racks that are 60" apart.
Will a RTT fit on this or are they too far apart?
Thanks.
My truck gun for going into unfriendly states or Canada is an inexpensive Turkish pump action 12 gauge. It's a simple reliable gun that is good to 100 meters depending on the target size.
I also have several CHL that will allow me to travel through most states but I have to ask what alphabet...
No Sig love here??
My EDC is a 239 but if I want more firepower I'll take my 226 Mk 25. They both are an extension of my hand even though they are heavier than many Glocks..
You didn't say what trim level you were interested in. I will bet that the rating you quoted is only available with the base trim level (XL). Some people like the spartan interior, some don't....
I will be going to Namibia in a few months to the very remote "Sleleton Coast"
Here's a video of the trip last year...(in a '79 LC).

Just wait until they put the diesel in the Gladiator. Mine drives like a V-8. You will not be disappointed. Plus getting close to 30 mpg on the highway (25 mpg overall) is a nice side benefit.
