Interior is put together the best it can be for the trip. The only thing that's not finished is trim and the shower. The toilet is in the shower and it's been working great. Actually, everything has.
Still working on figuring out storage in the box truck, but that will take time once we use it...
I am waiting to get off work (I'm on a boat), to weigh the box truck. Then I can order the 4WD kit through UJOR.
After walking around in the box truck, and doing a lot of head scratching, we think we are going to remove the closet, and put a desk there. That way the wife can work while we are...
Truck camper. All the way.
The biggest reason is #vanlife is over and vendors are dying off.
I have a 12ft box truck that I converted to a RV. It's a 2014 chassis. Soon it will have a 2024 chassis, same box. Then UJOR 4wd kit. So, I'm not getting rid of it any time soon.
I've had vans...
I don't mind the 5.4. Doesn't have crazy power, but gets the job done.
I need to finish the shower, but that will have to wait until after our trip we're about to go on. I have a toilt we will use. But the box truck is camp ready-ish.

Found these roll up blinds at...
One more cabinet to build and then the shower.
Sink area. Will be adding a Nespresso machine:

Control panel. A cabinet with drawers and room for hanging clothes, etc. will go under this:
My last van had 4.56. That's probably what I will go with.
The axle I bought, I haven't even cleaned it.
It will be a while before I do the 4wd conversion. I had a 2022 RV cab / chassis that was wrecked. But I sold it:
My plan is to buy a new 2024 cab / chassis that fits my box truck...

I was having solar controller issues. The MPPT I got was DOA. It never worked.
It would never show voltage from the batteries, even though it would have power going to it.
Battleborn Batteries sent out a new MPPT under warranty. Now, everything is up and running!
I got a front axle. Looking for a rear with the 2011+ e locker.
I was wondering which gears I should go with. Then I started calculating everything. Last time I went with 4.56 gears. This time, I'm going with 4.88 gears.
The stock tires are 29" tall, with 4.10 gears. Going to a 35" tire is a...

If you look at the mounting instructions: https://www.recpro.com/content/RP-PAFRM Powered Awning User ManualC.pdf
You can change the length of the awning if needed. It is bolted together with rivnuts on the assembly tube...
Yes, it is lol.
Pecking away at everything I need to do before finishing the inside...
I mounted all the solar panels again. Just did it a better way, that way they fly off on the interstate like last time.
Before I had a Fiamma awning. It was cool and all, but I sold it with the old van. I...
