4'' extra clearance isnt that hard to get. If it s a ford and mercedes platform, a simple lift kit and oversize tire will get you there and you will be able to go in most forestry road if you drive slow. You rarely need 4wd on those road unless they are in very bad shape.

i really enjoy how this build is about taking what is readly available and getting it done quickly. i was curious how you would lap those panels and now see your method! i used VHB tape to glue aluminum to trailer frame and it s so strong no other glue is needed. and it seal very well also!!!

i usually purchase those from truck tractor repair shop. They carry it for trailers and i had better chance buying from them at ''cheap'' price. i will make some test panel like you did to test and see.

would it be easier to get big sheet of continuous aluminum vs laping them to make the walls? it would be easy to find some .040 in 8.5 roll and that is plenty strong for a composite wall? asking as i m thinking of going that route and find the roll of aluminum cheaper then 4x8 sheet.
