Yea, I have seen some that came with them as well. What is strange is neither my 2012 Mega cab Longhorn dulley Cummins, my 2017 Tradesman Hemi, or this Tradesman Cummins has had one. There seems to be no consistency. One of the guys on CF yesterday said his 2018 Laramie didn't even have the...
Got my under hood light on yesterday. I can't believe something like this doesn't come on the vehicle from the factory, but I guess at least they provide you with the plug. :sneaky:
Just placed an order for some last night. Was just a tick over $350. Paid 376.98 shipped. Thanks for the info!
I struggled a bit with the same thoughts as you. Ended up settling with the DCU due to the double doors, ability to add a 4th crossmember for even more rigidity, ability to add dual...
No problem. Was loading up the truck today to head out of town to do a little lite camping/hunting for a couple days. She is pretty heavily loaded though with all the kids toys and supplies. Looks like I need a very slight bit of lift in the rear when loaded.
It is bolted in 6 locations to...
Good luck to you! Looks like it will be a very involved job, but I can't wait to see your pics. I assume you are going to take care of any rust from the inside that you see while in there?
Correct! But it wasn't even on the mind at all. Was just out looking at it. I think it can be seperated just below where the diesel filler neck and DEF filler come up to the bed side. I think I will use another breather on the opposite side of the topper. One for the current fuel tank, and...
Thanks for that link. I wasn't even thinking of the fuel tank at all. I'll have to route that to another location, or get a second breather kit, especially if I end up adding a second fuel tank.
Yea... That was the original plan. I believe I mentioned it when I posted above. There are 4 port inlets to this breather, front diff, rear diff, and transmission/transfer case.
I actually looked at a few manifolds before this, but came to buy this because of it using the same filters as the...
I thought about the engine compartment as well, but there is SO much stuff run to under there, I figured this was high and out of the way. It may not be where I put it, but it is at the top of the list for a few ideas.
I like this kit because it uses the same filters as the compressor, so no...
Started looking at spots for the diff breather kit. What do you guys think about this location? I want to run both diffs and trans to this location. Seems nice and out of the way IMO.
I would say approximately 3" or so. It looks just about right to allow bed to cab flex yet not look like there is a hideous gap. The front of the topper actually tilts forward and follows the contour of the truck cab all the way up.
Thanks Alex!
I thought really long and hard about the Ram boxes. In the end I know I wanted to put some sort of topper on this truck, so I dealt with not having any storage space for a while until I got this topper. Ram boxes are a really great design if no topper is added. I wish they made...
Started working on the ARB compressor and tank mounting in the new topper. I will also be adding the locker manifold and controls back there to keep them out of the weather as much as possible. Hopefully it will extend the life of them all. My son wanted to help with this project, and he was a...
What if you ran the filler neck into the topper, then fab your own setup down to the tank. That is what I am leaning towards the more I look into this.
Just run it from one of these fuel filler cups, into the topper, then through the bed and over to the tank under the bed.
Discount tire was the only ones near me that would touch them, let alone road force balance them. I had to wait a couple days till their Roadforce balance guy came in to work.
Will be interesting to see that. Be sure to post that up once complete.
I am running them, and yes they work fine. I had very very slow wobble that they wouldn't cure themselves. I have since also had them road force balanced as well. The combination of the two have made the last 5k miles or...
I can't imagine trying to figure out what to do with two spares. It is hard enough looking for a good spot for one 37"/40" tire. The side storage is awesome. I just have so much crap. Will be nice to get that stuff out from under the seat.
40's seems to be the way a few of us are headed. Those...
