********!!! I bet. That was all I could think about when I was pulling that filter. " People actually pay good money to put another one here". I bet that was a royal PITA to install! That HUGE muffler/emission wizardry thingamabob is right in the damn way. :ROFLMAO:
I have all the proper wrenches and tools, but next time the entire filter housing will come off, then the WIF sensor. It wasn't terrible to pull the WIF sensor first, but there is still a small amount of fuel left in there that can not drain out fully.
Yea... Live and learn. One would assume all the diesel would be out from the drain valve. But nope... about a quarter cup left if I had to guess. Wasn't terrible, but wasn't a clean change out for sure. Everything else was easy in comparison. About the dumbest place I could think of for a...
Please do. I am anxious to see what you end up doing. I actually went last week to talk to a body man about a second factory filler door to be added behind the axle on the same side as the current factory fill. $450 for the bodywork and paint plus any OEM parts I want to use.
Finished up the 10k mile service. All looked well, and the fuel filters were indeed ready to be changed out. I will finish by rotating the tires tomorrow and greasing all the fittings/checking balance and alignment.
I will check them out. Nice that they have a package to do it all at one time. I've been getting my filters from a diesel mechanic shop that sells filters for Cummins and Cat for years. Not super expensive, so I really haven't cared much to look elsewhere. Now the Mopar filters were pretty...
Took a few night pics of the LED strip lights in the side doors. Not bad at all IMO. I can see everything I need, and there is no back glare in my face which is what I was initially worried about. I think pointing them into the box worked out great.
Had I known about the website you showed earlier, I probably would have got them there with my underhood light. They are BRIGHT however.
Thanks! Just researched it as good as I could, and used what I thought appropriate.
I used Rotella T6 on the 5K oil change. It was fine, but after...
Changed the Cabin filter today, as well as added some LED strip lights inside my topper side doors. They will eventually be on a door button, but for now the push on/push off button will be fine. Can't wait to see how bright they are tonight. The cabin filter was slightly dirty, but not too...
Thank you!
I think I may try a few other items out now that I am in there. I have been looking through their LED shop lights, and a few have caught my eye. Thank you for the information on that site. Looks like it will come more in handy than a simple under hood replacement light. Appreciate that!
