My 13yr old son took that pic last week when we were wheeling & camping in Moab with Colorado Bill & Larry, Larry also has a Trasharoo in Black and Bill will be getting one as soon as I swing by Sierra Expeditions and pick 1 up for him (and ask him which color).
Great product and it really...
thanks for these post...
I read through all your webpages and really enjoyed them, you have a great writting style
Good to know there is another medical person (ICU RN here) who enjoys the desert
I love my Trashroo and it is amazing how handy it is, not just for keeping smells & stuff out of the rig, but I use the flap pocket to carry the bags for the PETT toliet, the mess area to carry some gloves.
Here is a pic from Moab running the trails.
Eric great job getting on with life beyond the injury..
I will have more info soon but it looks like we will have a strong point person but there are some fun changes in the works that will open things up for a wide range of ways for people to help & tell THEIR story.
I will be in touch by pm...
The paint stuff is light and fluffy so no real wgt gain at all. It works because each micro sphere is a vacuum chamber and heat/sound have trouble getting through a vacuum.
Since Toyota makes the 70 series to be the utilitarian workhorse, the vinyl flooring went in plenty easy.
And if all I had was 17 days then I would rather fly/hop/backpack through central america or spend all 17 really enjoying 1 area.
I agree it is great to go...but for those of you in favor of the effort we are speaking of in this thread, let me ask you: What would your response be if he had died...
There is a place here in town called Tempe Sales, they sell upholstery for home/auto/boat...and alot of it is left overs...but they do have some basic always around stuff.
This was just plain ol' grey headliner material. It is soft & has a thin foam behind it.
Of course that is laid over the 3...
I am in final talks with a super dude from Colorado to help cover the US side of things when I go to Australia next year....and I will take the show on the road down under and see who the DE concept fly's in Oz.
I will know more in a couple of weeks when I get to spend a few days camping with...
Just updated the build with a new thread since it deals with something lots of folks would care about....cool & quiet :)

So continues the saga of working on the 75 series Troopie with my 13yr old...
One of the things I love about the rig is how basic & utilitarian it is, however that also translates into noisy & a poorly insulated.
Since rattles, shakes and temps can lead to driver fatigue and overall spousal...
If we were living in Europe, driving around Europe/Africa, and getting a Bremach w/ Iveco diesel and we were talking the van body version I would be all over it.
However we are living in North America, getting the cab chassis, getting a engine/trans combo from ??, and we don't have a track...
I had both in my FJC, both in the Sportsmobile and will install both in the 75 series Troopie.
There are more people everyday who are into ham thank goodness but still plenty who are using CB so gotta keep it ready
Having been there before I can tell you that the campgrounds (there was 5 when I was there) are just as interesting if not more so than the show itself.
You really need 2-3 days to see it all..
1st day just to walk around (a couple of hours to walk the entire show) and collect literature.
2nd...
and if you review my post on this rig you will see that the version being brought into the US needs some serious research and question asking before laying down your $105,000 for the chassis...then add in your camper box cost and well....
just call the company up and chat first
do a site visit...
Agreed on that....I have done a couple of trips to Northern Az now that gives me some mountain climbs and while I do have to get into 3rd gear it isn't horrible and I am not a speed demon anyway so I think there will be no turbo in my future.
Plus it gives me an excuse to get a new turbo troopie...
Having just installed a National Luna Kit I have to say it was really really nice to have EVERYTHING I could need (and some extra bits) all at hand.
The bits are top notch and there is far more cable that you will need, enough to run a battery to the back of the average rig.
It comes with a 3...
stop making me think about the turbo :)
one of the reasons I bought this rig was to have the most dead simple, easy to fix, reliable rigs on the planet....I have read lots of post on the Oz & South Afr forums that the turbo does fine on the 1HZ but I think I will hold off as long as possible...
