    AT trailer fails the test

On the AT moto trailer the spindle nut retainer was not properly put together. It struck me as a quality control issue. Unless AT really buys the axles and never takes anything regarding the hub apart at which point I could understand saying it had nothing to do with AT. This is exactly why I...

The other back way to Crown King, AZ. - 22 Jan 11

Originally I wanted to bring a disabled participant on this outing but after a couple of cancellations (the downside of making it free is that it is super easy to back out) I instead invited the family to join so we could enjoy the outdoors the way we used to. My son took these pics when he felt...

    Phoenix, AZ Van Conversion shops

I live here and I don't know of anyone... I love my Sportsmobile and that is my only 4wd van experience. AT trailer fails the test

This is one of the reasons I in a love/hate relationship with sponsorship when I comes to Disabled Explorers. What do I do when a company offers a product as a sponsorship and that product fails? Do I be honest with the public that holds an expectation that I be honest and protect them from...

Hi-Lift or jack for heavy vehicles?

I have lifted my 11,000lb Sportsmobile with my ARB X-jack using the Extreme Outback air compressor and it worked great. Very stable, wraps around either axle with ease and lifts a corner in a safe & controled manner. I love it!

Looks like I am in with the family, I was working on a disabled participant but that didn't pan out and the family is willing to join in so it works out perfect. More than likely won't be able to stay for dinner in CK but it will be great to see everyone. Any issues Mark with bringing the...

What type of compressor do you use?

I have run Extreme Outback High Output and Magnum on my vehicles and each had a 2 gal tank. I love the fact that I can air up tires, run air tools, dust off the interior and do a bunch of other stuff with a setup that is always there and ready to roll.

Incredible pics Ben and Bev makes a great model. Tell more on the Redoxx kitchen bag, any shots of the inside or what you are putting where? Their stuff is very tough and well made. Also how is the solar working with the National Luna fridge & Powerpack? Everything play well together?

2007 SMB 4x4: Where ours has been...

Hey I knew that rig look familiar.. your pic was my Sportsmobile West Christmas card...very cool. Ok now spill the beans on the second spare tire/pull pal holder on the back. It looks like something that drops the tire low and out of the way of the doors...do tell more.

not sure about the best pricing or not but I know I have run Viking Winchline from Thor on 2 rigs beating it up and never a problem. I am getting great results pulling the 11,000lb Sportsmobile and very happy. Plus Viking supports the forum here, then again so does MasterPull :)

    Need Advice on SMB

Wow I can't believe those shreaded tires... I put 36,000 miles on a set of Nitto Trail Grappler 33's and when they came off they were still in great enough shape to give a buddy who is running them....never a flat, never any chunking or anything....11,000 lb rig aired down to 30 on rocks, 10 on...

thanks for the kind words everyone... Need Advice on SMB

I will completely disagree on the off road ability of the Sportsmobile West 4wd conversion. And my 39,000 miles in the last year involve mostly newbie disabled folks driving the van with me instructing. The critical difference I did was disconnect the front sway bar and leave it that way. It...
